| Hiya Michele,
Welcome.
Unfortuntely, there are not yet many doctors who specialize in treating Morgellons. Perhaps one of our readers who has had a positive experience with a doctor in the Oklahoma area will share that information with me so I can share it with you.
Meanwhile, with that being said, may I suggest that you go to our Lab Testing Options page, read it carefully, and print and take the recommended documents to your child's doctor.
By the way, if you type in "children" in the search engine feature of our website, it will bring up three pages of information.
Welcome again; I hope we have helped a little.
God Bless, Never give up Hope!
Mel
P.S.- Your child is in all of our prayers. | Michele

| Hello Everyone. Its hurtful to know how many people continue to suffer with this very real disease. :( I am desperate to find a dr. in the OK region, or anywhere for that matter, that knows how to treat Morgellons. I fear I may lose my 15 month old son to this very soon if something doesn't start changing in his body. His cry has become blood-curdling and he is absolutely inconsolable. He has been suffering with this since he was about 10 months old but I believe he had been showing symptoms since he was 6 mos old. So if anyone can share a name and number I would be EXTREMELY forever grateful!! I thot it might be a great idea..I see in posts here and there that people share that they've had relief from treatment but don't share the dr. info. Maybe that would be helpful info to pass onto others? Unless there's a list of drs somewhere I don't know about it? If there is, please PLEASE let me know!! Thank you!! | Mel

| Hiya Kristi,
Welcome again.
So many first come here in despair and desperation. First let me say please calm down a little. Somewhere in your state, there is a clinic that will accept Medicaid.
Once you find it, I suggest you copy everything from the Lab Testing Options page and take it with you. I would then ask that person who has read your information to just 'Please help me'.
I have said many times how lucky I was to have Dr. Zamboni. Because of so many stories that were not as positive, we have tried to create an easier way to create a patient/doctor relationship.
I hope this helps a little. If you wish to speak with me, my email address is in the welcome letter on the Forum Page.
God Bless, Never give up Hope!

| Hello,
I would like to put my name and location here, in case anyone is familiar with an MD (to take my medicade, 'Mainecare'), I am in Fairfield, Maine. A referral to any MD in New England who takes medicade, and is knowledgable about Morgellons, would be so appreciated, and GREATLY needed! I am facing losing my son with autism, and he NEEDS to come back to me from transitional housing, after a 3-month stay at a special hospital for autism and dangerous behaviors. Please help me if you can...
Thank You, and good luck to you all! Kristi kristikim@gmx.com |

| Great to hear Mae..is that Pamela or a different one? Yes Thank you to Pamela who had been trying to get a 'M' friendly doctor in Vancouver BC. But I saw a CBC special on Lymes, this fall, and there is a doctor in Seattle who treats Lymes. I'd like to know that name if anyoone knows. Yes, my brother is a chiropracter(in Ontario) who used to be more radical in his youth, and now is in the same camp with 'delusional' dismissers. It's hard..to accept that some family and friends just can't understand this. It hurts a lot..especially when they including boyfriends, who could help but won't because the don't 'believe' in it, or some of the remedies. But it's a free country and we do have choice and you can't control anyone..so..as I said once before people will believe what they want to...so.... I once did a workshop (in the new-age 80's) which consisted of going around in a circle and makiing eye contact asking each person 'love me'..which consisted of looking at them and saying yes or no..and moving on to the next one. Intersting to see some people said 'no' based on 'their own stuff'..then the next one was a whole new experience. Sales people know this, you heara lot of 'no's', before the 'yes's'... but it seems personal when it's your family or someone close to you.
More letting go and forgiving.
We will triumph..a brand new year a sincere apprecaition to those with an open mind, giving heart, and the kindness to help just because it is needed. There is a new family and friends and we are joined by and'environmental' whatever you call it and the willingness to help each other.
This church, St. Paul's in the west end Vancouver does a 'Labrynth' which touches all denominations of spirituality..what a great thing to give to the community. I respect that. Happy New Year everyone, you have meant a lot to me in this last year. Sincerely, Sherry Taylor

| Dear Sue, I am sorry to say that I can't provide you with that Dr. referral at this time. As you can see, the list Mae has given you, (thank you for that Mae), is just getting started.
I don't know what you have tried in your search effort so far, but here are some suggestions. Make calls to your local Department of Health, any Community Health services, any Hospital Dr. Registries or referral service, and any Patient Advocate/referral services.
Since your daughter works in 'infectious disease', request that she set aside her personal (and uniformed) opinion, and use her connections to help you find an MD. She owes you that.
Also, post your City, State location requesting the help of the good people contributing to this forum.
In the mean time, do what you can for yourself by addressing the health of your own Immune System. Your body is designed to be it's own ultimate healer, what we do in Health Care is just, helping that to take place. So, get going on improving and supporting the function of your Immune System. This system takes a beating from this disease, help it fight back.
I am using 'The Ultimate Wellness Formula' with supplements to support the Thymus Gland (which regulates and navigates the immune system), Essential Omegas, Essential Digestion, Essential Flora, Magnesium with Calcium, and Liver CS (that helps clear the liver from toxins). I believe this formula covers all the bases when you are needing to improve your ability to fight off this disease. I ordered this on-line at logosnutritionals.com.
Please check back and let us know how you are doing.
From the Heart. Maribeth | Mae

| Dear Maribeth, Would it be at all possible to also get a list of Drs? I have been searching for a cure since Jan 2007. My daughter is also a nurse practitioner in Philadelphia. She works in infectious disease and unfortunately is one of those who think we are delusional. She said they even question if Lyme disease is legitimate. I have to say this has been the saddest part for me. My own daughter can not understand what we are going through. Thank you, Sue | Maribeth

| Dear Mae,
I am happy to hear about your progress to improve your health. Isn't it amazing, that so little can mean so much.
I would like to work with you regarding a Master List of MDs willing to work with/ and treat Morgellons patients.
This will include their locations and access information, their treatment plan and results, and patient feedback.
We might even consider a list of MDs to avoid that are unwilling to work with/ and treat Morgellons patients. Possibly saving a little grief for those searching for the 'RIGHT' MDs.
I see a great need for this to help others access care, but I give you credit for this idea. What do you say? Email me at mn@gmail.com
