Morgellons - MORE COMMUNICATION IS BETTER!

FOLLOW-UP RESOURCES & NOTES
Health, Truth & Preparedness in a Rapidly Changing World
Dr. Allison Ashley with Mel Friedman
August 15, 2026

Thank you to Mel and to everyone who joined us for today’s conversation. We spent nearly two hours together, including a wonderful period of questions and answers, and still only made it through the “Our Food and Water” section of my prepared material!

Below are several of the resources and concepts I mentioned during the call, along with information for anyone who would like to explore them further.

1. RED BLOOD CELL FATTY ACID PROFILE — KENNEDY KRIEGER INSTITUTE

One test I particularly recommend considering in appropriate clinical circumstances is the Red Blood Cell Total Lipid Fatty Acid Profile available through Kennedy Krieger Institute in Baltimore.

Unlike simply looking at circulating fats, the RBC profile analyzes fatty acids extracted from red blood-cell membrane lipids. The laboratory reports a broad spectrum of fatty acids along with useful ratios and group summaries, including omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids.

Why does this interest me?

Cell membranes matter.

They influence cellular communication, transport, signaling and many aspects of cellular function. Understanding the fatty-acid composition of the red-cell membrane can provide useful information that may help guide an individualized nutritional strategy.

Contact me if you’d like to find a doctor near you who can Order this for you.

2. “BURN, BUILD & BALANCE” — FATTY ACIDS & PHOSPHATIDYLCHOLINE

As discussed on the call, one approach I have used clinically is to look at fatty-acid balance and then determine how best to burn, build and balance based upon the individual rather than simply adding supplements indiscriminately.

This may include specifically selected essential fatty acids and, where appropriate, phosphatidylcholine (PC) orally and/or as part of a physician-directed IV program.

An important caution:

Please don’t assume that every product marketed with “phosphatidylcholine,” “PC,” “choline” or “lecithin” on the label is interchangeable. It isn’t.

Formulation, phospholipid composition, sourcing, purity and the patient’s individual needs matter. I do not recommend buying a product because the label sounds similar to something discussed on the call. Please be wise stewards and research for yourselves.

There are only 3 reputable companies in my opinion that make PC, only available though practitioners.

3. DR. PATRICIA KANE / PK MEMBRANE-STABILIZING APPROACH

I also mentioned the work of Dr. Patricia Kane and the membrane-focused approach commonly associated with the PK Protocol.
For individuals interested in exploring this further—particularly those looking for a physician familiar with this approach and appropriately equipped to provide IV therapy—I am happy to help point you toward additional information and, where possible, clinicians trained in this area local to you.

This is bio-individualized medical therapy and should be undertaken with an appropriately qualified clinician.

4. THE BODY KEEPS THE SCORE — TRAUMA & THE BODY
I recommended The Body Keeps the Score by psychiatrist Bessel van der Kolk, MD.

The Body Keeps the Score — book information https://www.besselvanderkolk.com/resources/the-body-keeps-the-score

One reason I mentioned this book is that “trauma” is broader than many people realize. We commonly think of trauma as an emotional event, but the body can also experience major illness, accidents, medical procedures and surgery as significant physiological stressors.

This becomes relevant when we consider the interconnected roles of the brain, autonomic nervous system, vagus nerve, fascia, immune system, stress physiology and the body’s learned responses to threat.

For those dealing with chronic illness, I believe it is worth asking not only:

“What happened to my body?”

but sometimes:

“What has my body learned from what happened to me?”

That is an important distinction.

5. OURA RING — LEARNING YOUR OWN BASELINE

I also discussed the value of learning your own physiological baseline rather than comparing yourself constantly with population averages.

I personally use the OURA Ring as one tool for observing trends such as sleep, resting heart rate, heart-rate variability, activity and recovery.

These devices are not diagnostic medical instruments and should not replace appropriate medical evaluation, but longitudinal data can sometimes help us recognize changes in our own patterns and ask better questions.

6. LIFEWAVE PHOTOTHERAPY PATCHES

I also briefly shared my personal experience with LifeWave patches, which were originally introduced to me by my friend and colleague, neurologist Dr. Tom Acklin.

I used these products as one component of my own recovery following a significant back injury, during a period when I was working very hard to heal without surgery.

As I mentioned on the call, I don’t ordinarily spend much time discussing this because LifeWave uses a network-marketing business model. However, because my personal experience was meaningful and because the information may be useful to some members of this community, I felt it was worth mentioning.

LifeWave describes its products as non-transdermal general-wellness phototherapy patches; they do not deliver drugs through the skin. Anyone with medical conditions should discuss their use with an appropriate healthcare professional.

I am happy to share additional information with anyone who would like to learn more.

7. INDIVIDUAL CLINICAL CONSULTATIONS

Several of the topics we discussed today—complex chronic illness, environmental exposure, fatty-acid testing, membrane health, supplements and individualized laboratory interpretation—cannot responsibly be reduced to one-size-fits-all recommendations on a group call.

For members of Mel’s community who would like more individualized help, I am happy to make a limited number of reduced-fee clinical consultation appointments available to the group. Sessions conducted by Zoom.

This can provide an opportunity to review your history, existing testing, current concerns and possible next steps based on your unique situation.

Where clinically appropriate, I can also facilitate access to certain professional-grade products through practitioner channels.

Mel may provide my contact information to anyone who requests it.

WHERE WE STOPPED — AND POSSIBLE PART 2

Today’s conversation lasted approximately two hours, including an extensive Q&A, and we ultimately stopped around the “Our Food and Water” section of my prepared notes.

That means we still have quite a bit left to discuss.

Among the topics remaining in my notes are:

Technology, EMFs, 5G/6G & Data Centers

AI/Data Centers & Resource Pressure

Fires, Air Quality & Weather Extremes

Seismic & Volcanic Activity

Recent Events & the Importance of Discernment

The SHIFT Many Have Felt

Signs of the Times

Preparation Without Fear

RE-MINDED™ / SHIFT™

And ultimately:

Knowledge. Truth. Discernment. Faith. Community. Preparedness. And Action.

Perhaps Mel and I will have an opportunity to come back together for Part 2 and pick up where we left off.

Until then, remember:

“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.” — Hosea 4:6

and

“You shall know the Truth, and the Truth shall make you free.” — John 8:32

Keep asking questions.

Keep learning.

Stay curious.

Prepare wisely.

Take responsibility for your health.

And above all, stay anchored in God rather than anchored in the headlines.

Hope is not a plan. Preparation is.™

With love and blessings, Dr. Allison Ashley, MS, PhD

Morgellons - MORE COMMUNICATION IS BETTER!

Dear All,

Saturdays Conference call (15th August) had none other than the most excellent Dr Allison Ashley on as our special guest. She was extremely pleasant and deeply informative :-).

In this community we talk about doing, 'the sum of the parts.' Which is looking after body, mind and spirit. And im very glad to say Dr Ashley has exactly this same ethos. She talked about Loving ourselves and listening to our own bodies and minds and spirits. She talked about being informed, educating self about what we need for Healing and Health. She talked about hobby's and doing things we enjoy regulating the nervous system, like Mel's trains:-). After all, being creative releases dopamine and oxytocin. Its very important to tell our nervous system that it is safe, especially when we are unwell. Mel whistles a lot, that stimulates the parasympathetic nervous system to relax too. To be fair, Mel is always singing a song or two, his nervous system must be a happy camper:-).

Dr Ashley said there is a time when pharmaceuticals are needed, but take only if needed. We have to learn to rebuild our immunity, look at our microbiomes. Everybody's additional needs are different some need to look at mitochondrial function, others obesity, others heart disease, others cell membranes and what needs to be restored. Some in our community need mold testing (HLA haplotyping blood test) to see if they can detox mycotoxins naturally or need help to do so. As Mel says too,"Be thine own Physician."

Dr Ashley talked about, 'iatrogenic illness,' which is medical errors, failed diagnosis, unnecessary procedures, drug interactions. She is not arguing against medicine, she's asking us to advocate for our own Health when dealing with the medical system. BE INFORMED. Get second opinions, listen to your body, make your own informed choices! Its especially important when you are unwell to make sure to the best of your ability that you are on the right tract for your body and mind. Be astute, ask questions, get the right information to make informed choices.

Take in natural healthy food and water as much as possible. Watch your food quality. Be an informed consumer, know what you are eating and drinking. Don't follow the hype.

Dr Ashley also answered many questions about community members Health and was very helpful and thorough in her knowledge! And as Mel says, "knowledge is Power."

Listen in to hear the whole call as Dr Ashley may just point you in the right direction for something you need answers too!

Thanks to Mel and to Dr Ashley for a very enjoyable, insightful call.

Chrissie
