Hiya Purvi,

Welcome and thanks for sharing your concerns.

Although I have seen some negative reports about some colloidal silver products, I have never experienced any harmful effects from any of those I have tried. All I can tell you is that Molecula Silver is the only silver product that has produced consistent results for me.

Due to the nature of Morgellons (multiple infections/infestations, chronic toxicity and a general failure of the bioterrain), I would say that yes, people generally get worse before they get better.

I share your concern about overdoing it... if you try to follow all the available protocols at once, how are you going to assess what is working and what is not?

I have always said to pick only one protocol and stick with it. Do not mix protocols... you may do more harm than good.

Thanks again for visiting.

God Bless, Never Give up Hope!

Mel

P.S. - I highly encourage you and your parents to listen to our teleconference call this Thursday. All of the questions and concerns you bring will be addressed at the end of the call.

Has anyone had any negative effects from the silver? Dr. Staninger has warned me that people have bad effects and then go to her to detox. I am desperate but don't want to do more damage. I am having nervous breakdowns which doesn't help. I feel stuff attracted to when i go out and am becoming more OCD and isolated. Do they get worse for awhile before getting better? Any response would be appreciated. my email is pveggielady@yahoo.com

Deb2...thank you for your insight (9/23/09 to Loretta). I have been suffering with this for over 6 years and besides all of the pain and misery along with many, many co-infections, the ADD & OCD have impaired me sooo much I can hardly put words together to talk let alone write. Anyway, I am the 'somebody' you helped today...today I will hang on.

Hi Tommy,

Thanks for your encouraging words and excellent question.

Anything that suppresses the CNS will slow down digestion, which usually does lead to constipation... and increased toxicity.

Glad to hear that you are going back on the protocol... very important!

Here is why:

Essential Digestion directly supports this issue with digestive enzymes and herbs (ginger and fennel) that promote nutrient absorption and peristalsis (movement of food through the digestive tract).

MagnifiCal contains magnesium which naturally loosens stools and increases regularity (in addition to supporting heart and bone health).

Essential Flora contains many strains of probiotics that help further break down food into cellular fuel and keep yeasts and pathogenic bacteria present in the GI tract from taking over. They are critical to controlling inflammation and maintaining mucosal immunity... the front line of our natural defenses.

Complete Thymic Formula contains essential vitamins, minerals and antioxidants needed to fuel cellular metabolism and neutralize harmful free radicals. It also contains herbs and glandular extracts designed to restore integrity (strength and balance) to cell mediated immunity.

Essential Omegas contains omega three fats that are so critical to brain function, heart health and controlling inflammatory immune responses.

Liver CS Plus contains herbs and nutrients to directly support the body's detoxification organs and pathways, which are becoming more burdened every day to the degree we conform to the patterns of this world.

Finally, as you know, for Morgellons sufferers we have added the Ubinol CoQ10 to provide maximum support to cellular energy systems.

Thanks Tommy for reaching out... I am praying for you. Please keep us posted on your progress!

Blessings,

John Burgstiner

Hi Jon B I have also been on sube for 3 1?2 years and also have had morgellons symptoms on and off for well over a year now. i have spoken to 2 other people who have gone through the same thing " suboxone and morgellong". I think what you said is true and also I think the fact that it makes you super constipated. Do you have any thoughts on that? I am going to order your wellness protocol next week as I feel it helped me before. Not right away but over a few months. I think I may also get a probiotic. thanks!

for Hope,
If you put the coconut oil in your hair(dry) and put on a shower cap and then sleep with it in your hair it might help. It wilol be super greasy but when you wake up you wash should wash your hair and also use a tiny amount of lavenfer and tee tree oil on the ends . I also have washed my hair with enzymes. It helps a bbit if you have movement on your head and scalp. Oh yeah and dandruff shampoo that has sulphur in it helps. I forgot the name of it but its in all the stores. It comes in a blue bottle. I even have washed my body with it and bathed in it but it's pretty expesive so I can;t do that too often. Oh wait! LOL I jusr remembered the name of it. Nizoral. I'm sure my spelling is wrong as usual but you you'll find it. Tc and good luck

Hello No Name,

The exacerbation of your Morgellons symptoms when you take Sub
e makes sense.

As a drug from the opiate family, Buprenorphine depresses respiration, immunity, elimination and metabolism in general (as did the drugs you are taking Suboxone in order to avoid).

We all applaud your efforts to be freed from the bondage of addiction, and there are many prayer warriors among us who will be faithfully lifting you up.

Addiction is a physical, a psychological, and a spiritual challenge; your path to wholeness must begin there and deal with all three realms.

Addressing nutritional deficits is pretty straightforward, but repairing the bioterrain and restoring major organ systems will be much more difficult as long as they remain suppressed with opiates.

I encourage you to contact Pamela at Morgellons Focus and get plugged into her prayer support network, learn everything you can from her site, this one and mine (Logos Nutritionals.com) as well, and participate in the very loving and supportive environment you will find here on this forum.

YOU ARE NOT ALONE, and you have been led here for a reason.

God Bless... and Never give up Hope!

With Love,

John Burgstiner

Since this is an old thread and I see my name down the line, I just want to say that I do not recommend the insecticide that I mentioned. The word is bifen and you do not need it. Enzymes work as well and the bifen doesn't work at all if this is truly morgellons that you have. It's in you and you need to get on the protocol as per Mel's post.

I've suffered with morgellons for 2 & half years. My building in NYC had bedbugs which have long since been erradicated. But I'm almost certain that's how I contracted Morgellons.I've tried everything including seeing many Doctors.while I've found no cure,I've found that zinc oxide cream(commenly used for diper rash) is helpful. Cover leisions w/ cream' evidently it smothers the parsite as it will surface atop thick layer of cream for easy removeal.Bizzare! Also,Ive been taking buprenorphine(Sub) for a few years.when I don't take it my symtoms from morgellons are'nt nearly as bad.Unfortunatly not taking suboxon at all comes with it's own set of problems(withdrawals)Am now on very low dose(1mg everyother day)Has anyone else experienced this, certain drugs, foods or cosmetics that helps or worsens symtoms??? GOD plzzz bless us all!!!

I have been suffering with the insect type morgellons for 1 yr. in Nov. I have spent thousands on everything you can think of, and yet still have them mostly on scalp and in left ear, I did find something that is my own remedy ( because I try to stay natural as I can ) I put 1 cup consentrated lemon juice, ( cheap at dollar stores ) in my bath water and submerge my ears for about 10 min. stay in tub 30, I see insect bodies in water and u can feel them coming out of your back, neck, scalp etc. I feel better with no crawlies or bites for a couple days, also sip some lemon in water throughout the day 1/2 tsp to a bottle of water. There is a lemon seed extract you can buy but it's expensive, it's combined with GSE, and lime seed extract. Try my treatment you'll see it relieves your symtoms. Good luck n God bless

Try using Selsun Blue Medicated Shampoo with menthol on your scalp. Let it sit on scalp for a few minutes. Also spraying skin and surroundings with white vinegar and water, half and half, is quite a relief, as is using sulfur soap (azufre). Washing clothes in borax, changing sheets every two days, wearing clothes only once before washing. Epsom salt baths with at least two cups of salts, and using hydrogen peroxide on sore spots and to clean toothbrush and hairbrush etc.

re hair i started putting oil on my head a few months ago...at first with a plastic bag over it as I couldn't find those old shower hats. I find all of them work..castor oil, olive oil, coconut/cacao. To wash(twice) in the morning use Dawn extra strength dish soap...or any other one if that isn't available. I tried green clay too but it leaves a fine green powder everywhere...worked though. Vogel from Germany makes it and most healthfood stores carry it or can order it. Last night rubbed raw garlic everywhere..put in the oil and salt combo and put on my hair too..you smell like a ceasar but it seemed to work. I've sprayed vinegar with a fine mister for plants on the head( think fish and chips)I think my hair has stopped falling out. Oh I leave the shampoo on my head while I'm having a soak in the bathtub with the sea salt baking soda, borax and vinegar. Tonight I'm trying an oil first then salt water solution on the skin and head as I'm having a bit of an outbreak....thanks Janice for that idea. Sincerely, Sherry Taylor from Vancouver BC Canada

I've been dealing with this ailment for 4 years, and I want you to know that it does get better. I have been taking prenatal vitamins, which seem to help. I believe these critters deplete us of our nutrients, so we need all the extra help we can get. I notice that when I eat healthy, get the proper sleep and exercise, I tend to have more energy and less itching. I still get small lesions, but they never turn into the huge staff infected boils I use to get. I have a lot of scars throughout my body, but they are fading slowly with a mixture of castor oil, lavender oil, and tea tree oil.
I'm still losing my hair like crazy, which is the hardest thing for me so far. I tried coconut oil, and it seemed to have helped a little. I'm still trying to figure it out. If anyone has any tips for the hair, please let me know.
God bless us all...

Well girls, I found through my research the theory is that it's contracted from birds, lizards, spiders, mosquitoes, fleas, and rat mites. Ironically Mel caught it from spiders and you guys caught it from bird mites. They even said that in Florida you will see dead lizards lying around. The assumption is that many creatures in the air OR environment have had their population afflicted with this. (of course, some think its chemtrails) Maybe we should make a thread just on all our tips, so people can cross reference them. Susanne

btw-Thanks for the tip on the vaseline, clever .. maybe we can out-smart them , I def found 'them' to climb as well. Vacuming does help tremendously.

No one knows what it is so, doing everything I read is my plan. This is what I have done. I put our mattresses in mite proof bags, first I douse them in the diatomacious earth powder. I spread that around behine furniture, bed, etc. Change linen everyday. I spray the furniture I come into contact with with an enzyme spray which is supposedly OK for human skin. I also took some advice from the internet and bought a powerful bug killer spray. It is dangerous to use, they say, but I had to get it. I only used it a few times because you can't get it on you or breathe it. It's called Bifen. And, I vacuum everyday. Also, they say, you can coat the legs of the bed (or the lounge) in thick vasiline and these can't climb up (whatever 'these' are) I'm with you in this fight. Hang in ! Robin

Interesting about the flea thing. The exterminator( who was not very competent) first said they were dog fleas, then spider mites form plants. He didn't isolate the rooms. shut the doors, and since he was in the house less than a minute each time I don't see how he could have evern walked through the 3 bedroom town house. also no questions were asked to get info about the worst areas...unbelievable...not much different from the doctors who seem to only see what they already know...and everythiing else doesn't exist...very strange really. so do the Australian people have any medical or naturpath help? I haven't found anything in Canada yet. Most doctors won't treat without a diagnosis, and although i got a new one from a clinic, we're back to wanting help from dermatologists or infestious disease specialists who won't entertain the idea of a 'bug' even if they see it. I haven't seen legs on these critters but I have seen them lop along...the cream coloured ones. The black spots, and debris( like a piece of leaf or something do seem to move ie they find your favourite chair and converge (I'm not insane...if I clean and one hour later a dozen pieces of 'something' are there...that concerns me. And if they get on your skin it is bad news...of the flesh eating variety. the crwling mites that come out at night are disturbing because the 'burrows get infected taking 3 weeks plus to heal. On a positive note the wood bugs they were eating seem to be getting smaller and I think that is a good sign. the bleach peroxide and every cleaner i can find at janitorial suppy places can't be too good for one. I put the chaise's legs that I'm sleeping on in jars of windex to see if that would help...last night. Not sure yet, but this dirt devil drill like thing with a brush on the end is fantastic for getting into little crevases where these 'blobs' live. when you smear them they leave an oil slick. Perhaps one day we will know what this is and how to treat it. I feel like I'm in a science fiction movie being eaten by a super bacteria break to break down toxic substances...and it has decided me and my posessions are it's primary source of food. The mite vector and fungus are also in the party. What to do?

Hi Deb 2 - sorry I forgot to answer your question on how many people in Australia have this horrible Morgellons. I have no clue. You lovely people on this forum are the only ones I've spoken to. My best friend (who has the dreadful rash) and I were feeling quite alone here (Lake Macquarie, just north of Sydney) trying to find a cure ourselves. I'm sure there are many, many more people with it in Australia and don't know they even have it or if they did, wouldn't know what it is. Pity the doctors are so slow to open up their minds to it and work to help heal it. Nevertheless, I think this forum is brilliant and the people I've read so far, all seem like angels in disguise working for a solution which is so badly needed.
All the best, Deb.
Kind regards

Message for Pamela Mae! Thank you! That would be most appreciated. My best friend who has had terrible rashes and mind bending itching for 7 years with no help. I began this journey at Christmas last year when we got attached by bird mites. Long story, but now I can't work. Bought a digital microscope recently and sure enough, it's Morgellons. My friend and I are trying everything. Doctors are not helpful at all which is simply not right. Closed minded doctors shouldn't practise medicine - in my opinion. We've discovered a lot about this horrible disease and making progress, but still need to know more and spread the knowledge and learn what to do to heal without resorting to poisoning ourselves. We are confident this thing comes from bird mites which can also bite animals, (when their host dies, the go looking for food) eg mice, which in turn does something to their fleas. It can be a neighbour mouse which drops off a flea or two in a unsuspecting house. The fleas are different to normal. Thank goodness for the digital microscope. Lots to share and learn. Morgellons also seems to make any underlying health condition much, much worse. Thank you.
All the best
Marj

Message for Marj ! Here is the good news- when this site started we knew of very few doctors or practitioners who would treat Morgellons. Now we have a handful. To me that's a lot!
We have been working to bring many more into an intelligent understanding of 'Exactly what Morgellons is.' we have done this by encouraging practitioners to read the research we have done here and asking them to commit to this as their battle too. Slowly we are getting more and more responses. I took your request seriously and have sent emails to a practitioner that I know used to do phone consults. I may know by tomorrow if that will be available to this little Morgellons family we have here.
If I don't get back with you like I should -would you please remind me,some times I get a little busy.
Its nice to meet you and it is my prayer that we can help you on the road to getting well..hang in there okay?

Deb, I have also been to 6 Dermatologists including the Resident Center at Miami University, 3 GP's, 2 Infectious Disease doctors, and several emergencies rooms requesting medicine and tests. I also got a CIPRO script from a doctor on 5th ave in NYc when I was there, CIPRO was used for Anthrax and was highly effective. It did not work on this, thats when I knew I had something. I also visited Cornell Med Ctr in NYC. I now get my medical prescriptions from a skin doctor here, he writes what I request, he knows nothing about Morgellons, I tell him . .and I stay on the protocols. (I have health coverage in this area) For me, the nodules seem to be the hardest thing to get rid of .. they will not leave my skin, (still cannot wear a bathing suit or shorts in FL) that is why I am trying out different topicals at this time. I have had this 2.5 yrs
take care everybody & thanks for sharing :)

Hi Loretta,
Just to try and make you feel alittle better (i know that's hard), I have had this for over 5 yrs. took me 3 to figure out what I have. In that period of time, saw 12 (yes 12)dermatologists, 4 infectious disease doctors and 4 gp's. Out of all those I have ONE that will give me the prescriptions I think I need (which is ridiculous, since I have NO medical backgroud).
I will not go into how poorly I was treated....but the point is, do NOT get discouraged. Don't let the ignorant, self serving and closed minded medical population stop you from trying to get better. I am much better than what I was and I do see a light at the end of the tunnel. For those of you that have had this less than 2 or 3 yrs, you have a VERY good chance of getting better without too much discomfort. For those of you that have had this longer, it IS a process. I highly reccomend you go back and look at the herxheimer responses Pamela Mae wrote about in the begining. they are very real and can last awhile.
Hope this helps somebody.

Dear Loretta,
Sounds so familiar.I have also been to many many doctors and been deeply humiliated by some before finding my wonderful doctor - whom is what I call'Morgellons friendly' and - he also agrees with Mr. Mels protocol. His view of Morgellons is that it is Pleomorphic in form,he agrees with this protocol because it seems to hit the 'inflammation''bacterial''fungal''parasitic' elements of this life stealing stuff..
I am so sorry for what you have endured.
It is for the very reason you stated that I created the web site I did.
To find practitioners who were Morgellons friendly for all of us here.
It would be my blessing to help you in any way I can.
I should have more Doctors posted next week some time.
On my list to God is healing for everyone here..from this stinking Morgellons - think that's a good idea?
Bless you my sister,
Pamela Mae
