The tests mentioned can't test for Morgellons per se, but they can uncover specific mineral or nutrient deficits, metabolic malfunctions, or the presence of biofilms. The tests are not likely to change much about your treatment plan early on, but once you are in recovery mode, they could be helpful to isolate where your remaining problem areas are.

If you have insurance that will cover their cost, they would be useful to monitor your progress and clarify the underlying causes of any setbacks.

I much prefer milk-derived whey protein (isolate, not concentrate) over soy because it is the cleanest, most comprehensive source of amino acids available anywhere. Soy protein is plagued with delayed allergy problems, and soy is also estrogenizing, which may contribute to hormonal imbalance.

The only good soy is fermented soy...the way it has been used for centuries in Eastern cultures.

L-glutamine is a single amino acid that feeds the lining of the gut, helps with sugar cravings and prevents muscle wasting. It is used by athletes to help build muscle mass and decrease recovery time after workouts. Natural health seekers use it primarily to restore digestive integrity.

As stated above, we usually start people on the L-glutamine and then graduate them to Whey Pro Isolate, which contains the full spectrum of amino acids and offers greatly expanded benefits.

As with many other things (and as Deb2 pointed out), too much too fast of a good thing can be bad, so take it easy... you want to feed your body's metabolism, not choke it.

OK, so the acid urine test I could ask my doctor for a script for that. It will tell where I am deficient, correct? I wasnt sure if it was a test to determine morgellons. . You think it is still helpful however? I would assume a doctor would have to know what to look for. I do have coverage in PBC, what is bcbs? thanks S

Hi Susanne, I am sorry I haven't been at my Mom's lately to check my email. I'll try to go there tonight, k :). Food grade diamotaceous earth is a natural dewormer- eliminates parasites w/out chemicals- helps with internal parastise control, parasites do not develop immunity as they do with other wormers, helps detox heavy metals- ecoli, bacteria and viruses, has antifungal properties. I take 2 teaspoons at night 2 hours after I eat and before bed. I take 1/2-1 teaspoon of baking soda morning or evening. That is supposed to help w/ regulating PH. I am using that for now until I can get on the protocol. I did the acid urine and organic stool and I am so low on minerals- the lab person who explained the results said to get on the healing protocol very soon- and also told me of a great mulivitamin. Oh and that was just for the urine results, I am still waiting on the stool. I think the test is very helpful so we can get our immunity up to fight this! I have bcbs and they just bill them so I haven't had to pay anything.

Hi John B
Yes, I had used your Whey Pro Isolate. Was in the process of moving so I picked up more at a helath food store. I have only use d 1/2 half the reccomended amount. In the beginning, I used the full amount....not a good idea. I am also taking the L-Glutamine.
If I had to guess, I believe my body is eliminating the 'bad Morgellons' stuff. I am hoping that once I get thru the worst of it, that my weight will start to go up. But time will tell.
Thank you John for your help once again. And of course everyone else.

Congrats Deb2 on your weight gain!

You are getting some excellent advice here... not only is coconut oil a very healthy fat, it contains lauric acid, which once consumed is converted to monolaurin, a potent antifungal compound.

Have you tried our Whey Pro Isolate yet? When you finish the L-glutamine, I suggest you step it up to the whey protein. We usually start people on the glutamine first to help restore the lining of the gut and then move them to the whey protein because it contains a broad spectrum of amino acids, which are the building blocks of protein.

With your diminutive size, I would take about half the recommended dose and add some healthy carbs and fat (such as coconut oil) to it for immediate energy.

Kim -

I am not sure where the link went! But if I remember correctly:

- 4 bananas, mashed
- 4 tblspoons peanut butter (I use almond butter - it's better for anti-candida diet)
- 6 tblspoons coconut oil

- 3 cups dry oatmeal
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp cinnamon

- raisins

-mash the bananas well, and combine with the almond butter and oil.
-combine the dry ingredients and mix them well
-add the banana/oil mixture to the dry ingredients and mix them well. Add raisins if you want.

preheat oven to 350 degrees, and bake 12-15 min.

These cookies are an acquired taste! they have a bread-like consistency, but for someone who can't eat sugar, they are addicting.. so good! :)

I freeze mine right away and take out a little at a time and microwave them. They are very moist, so they may mold easily, and we all know we don't need any more of that!

Please try it and let me know how you like them!

To All,
Saw my Dr today and he also suggested coconut oil. Also ground flax seed and nuts. so you gals were right on. He also brought up the topic of alkalizing foods. He gave me a list, so if you want, I can share it on this web-site. It's alittle long, but I believe very interesting and worthwhile.

PS I did gain a whopping 4 lbs.

What does your practitioner say about gaining weight?
I am sorry if I messed up and did not help you find someone. Did you find anyone? Let me know, because in my mind this is nothing to mess with and a practitioner is the best on advice. At one time one of these little sweet things lodged itself in my gallbladder. I was blessed with a Holistic practitioner that helped,

Deb2, I actually use the coconut oil as a moisturizer as well..it washes out of everything and doesnt stain but is a bit messy so I do it at the beach or pool. After a little while, sand granules pop out of skin. It repells activity including stinging and biting and itching. Now i've begun adding drops of oil of oregano- antiseptic antifungal, and citronella oil, another repellent to it. :)

Sorry.. that was my post above suggesting to use the coconut oil.. I forgot to add my name!!

deb.. you can just eat a spoonful or two a day or use it for cooking or just add it in your foods. I made a no-sugar cookie recipe and substituted coconut oil in for vegetable oil.. it tastes very yummy!

Thanks for all the suggestions. I have heard about coconut oil, I am just not sure what or how to eat it.
Suzanne, personally right now I am not taking the MMS. I had a very hard time with it. You might want to consider the MMS baths. Aslo, apple juice really had helped me with the taste.

Deb2, she is right (above), Coconut Oil is antifungal and antiparisitic, great insight.. and I'm sure heavy in cals. Pumpkin seeds are good and anti-parasitic as well. Walnuts are good for you. I remember gaining weight when I ate brazil nuts, and rice or soy cheese on a thick cut bread such as millet, kamut, or spelt bread and it filled meup.
I know we are NOT suppose to have dairy or wheat. Kamut cereals are also heavy, and then theres wheat free pastas . these should do it

Hey Deb2 -

I know what you mean about the weight.. I lost over 50 lbs, but fortunately, I needed to! Now I am at a good weight. I remember eating plenty of calories, but still dropping the weight. I stopped dropping, which is now good...

Good oils have a lot of calories in them and they are good for you, too. If you don't already, try using more oils in your foods, like olive oil. Also, you could benefit from eating some coconut oil daily, as coconut oil has antifungal properties. Also, are you able to eat any nuts or do you have allergies? Nuts are good for you and pack a lot of calories in a small amount of food.

Just curious- are you still taking MMS, and how often.
I am still having a very hard time with taste and the product does not agree with my stomach, often I drink gingerale to get rid of the nausea it produces.
Any suggestions with that?

My trainer friend once told me to eat more chicken and rice ..I was on an anti-fungal solution and certain foods not allowed & was loosing too much weight, this food was allowed. You can get it conveniently at Pollo Tropical when in a hurry. He said to fill up on it. IF you are already taking protein shakes, I cannot think of much else.

Hi,
I am looking for suggestions on how to gain weight. Since starting the detox/protocol I have lost 30 pounds. I was not heavy to begin with (maybe 10 lbs over at best). I know that MANY people with Morgellons put on weight. But I am now desperate to gain some weight. I am doing shakes everyday wit whey protein (I am using ice cream), I take logos L-Gutamine 2x's per day. I do have a numer of food allergies...bananas, eggs, seafood.
Any suggestions would be greatly apprecited.
Thanks
