I'm pretty sure I posted about borax working a long time ago on here. I believe I found about borax for laundry on the nutrasilver.com site under Dr. Susan Kolb's protocols. I may have found it on her site. Can't remember. I've found borax alone to work for everything except for my bath linens (washrags and towels). I add vinegar to those.
Some people add other stuff to the borax like vinegar. Some people use activated MMS for their laundry. Did you try putting 'laundry' in the SEARCH function on this site?
On other sites, other products have been recommended.
