Merry Christmas to Mel and to all your beloved warriors past and present; and especially Peter, your last remaining original warrior who has chosen - like you - to offer his life and his talents to the service of others. It is truly amazing to see what God can do with a few broken but willing vessels.

It is exciting to hear of the talent that is assembling around you and the foundation, and I look forward with great anticipation to seeing your dreams unfold. I pray for God's continued provision and protection, and for ever increasing wisdom and discernment.

Merry Christmas Brother.

Hello everyone and Welcome,

As we have done for the past four years we bring this thread forward once again, to share the joy of the children and adults who have been a part of our community and have now moved on with their lives.

Please take the time to scroll down to the bottom of this thread and to see the videos.

Look at the children's faces and read the comments of those who came before you!

The best Christmas present I can offer you;
"is that those who do not give up HOPE got well."

May GOD protect you and give you courage to persevere.

GOD bless you all,

Hello

Thanks for moving this thread forward, Mel. What an uplifting way to bring joy to people.

As Mary mentioned, folks, if you scroll down to the bottom here you can actually "take the train!" The full video ride is unique in that it is shot from a camera on the front train car. You will be amazed at the full track set up that will actually weave you in and around furniture as it takes you all around the rooms in his home. It is truly a remarkable experience that feels like you are on board. I rode it 3 times...like a little kid!

Merry Christmas everybody!!!!

Thank you Mel, for this short movie from Meltrack productions.

That train really made that turn nicely every time! LOL! You know I love that train of yours!

It comforted me so much to watch the original video, at the bottom of this page of its journey around your home, earlier in my illness.

Thank you again for more smiles and happiness. I have so much to be thankful for this Christmas and you are at the top of the list along with everyone here who is do amazing and caring and for having my health back. May the miracle of Christmas fill you, and all those on this forum's, hearts and homes with peace, hope, and joy!!!

Hello Everyone and Welcome,

On behalf of myself and all those who help me, we are wishing you all a Happy and Healthy New Year with the knowledge of renewed hope that you too can restore your health as many of the people who have posted on this thread have done before you.

Underneath this post you will find a 90 second video, but if you scroll to the bottom of this page you will not only see a picture of me when I was 18 months old, but also a 25 minute video that will be joyous for both young men and old men who are still young, and much to my surprise, many young ladies.

Hello Everyone,

Welcome as always.

After six years of not enjoying my post passionate hobby, I recently decided to put my trains back down with a much smaller layout. I lay on the couch in the evenings when it is dark and turn my fireplace on which makes the colored rocks move like water. I put this two minute video up for those who might have an interest, especially our younger friends.

Hello Everyone,

As you can see, Uncle Mel's Model Railroad Club continues to grow each year.

Each of these children who have had their health restored over the past three years, and expressed interest in trains, represent the many children who have gotten well in that given year. This should create hope and understanding for our new parents that every child will recover, and usually much faster than their parents.

This young man's recovery is nothing short of a MIRACLE. He not only beat Morgellons but also ended his many years of fighting Leukemia!!!

His mother Amber will be our special guest Sunday, January 11th, on this years first teleconference call.

If you are a parent and new to our website, please take the time to look through this thread as well as the thread "Children and Morgellons" in our forum, and by all means listen to the earlier conference call "Children and Morgellons" in our conference call archives.

See Ya Sunday,

Hey Mel,

I just finished up reading your post and looking through the amazing train pictures, thank you so much for sharing!

I have to share with you that over the course of the last few days, I've felt a lot of anxiety and hope all in the same breath. Anxious over the trip, worrying about exposing my daughter to this and there's always that question "am I doing the right thing".....you know, the normal concerns. HAHA!

BUT, what's kept me grounded and sane is remembering your emotional response to my question and your great big laugh when discussing my upcoming drive, I smile a big smile every time I think of your laugh! Your laugh is contagious and I have replayed it in my head over and over since. It's those little things that keep me wanting to push forward.

It's Christmas Eve and while I feel very thankful, it's also finding me pretty down. I just keep remembering your laugh, your love for life, love for the people around you and it brings me out of my dark place, so thank you! I always look forward to talking with you as it brings me great comfort and hope!

I wish you all the best, I know that you are shining big and bright right now and you should know, that is my driving force!

Merry Christmas Mel and much happiness as you celebrate your 6th anniversary of wellness!
Guess we could say it's also your birthday tomorrow as you celebrate your regained health!

Hope to talk to you soon!

GOD BLESS YOU, MEL!!!

Tonight I am thinking how amazing it must have been to be one of the people who personally witnessed Jesus's first hours on earth.

For the first time in the history of mankind there was true and genuine hope. . . hope for the future, for forgiveness, for a second chance and a fresh start. All because of the newborn Messiah. Hope is what Christmas is really all about, and what this website is about too. Thank you to Mel and others for bringing hope to each of us who are getting well here.

Merry Christmas to everyone in our community tonight and may each of you know the hope that only Christ can bring and may you experience good health and success in 2015!

Much love and gratitude,

Deborah B.

PS. Congratulations Mel on your sixth anniversary free from Morgellons. Know we are celebrating with you in our hearts tomorrow!

Good Morning Mel,

I give thanks to God for your friendship and the many wonderful relationships so many of us enjoy because of your determination to serve others. You continue to inspire us all to be the best we can be.

Like you, we all have much to be thankful for, but I am reminded that the holiday season is particularly difficult for some who are isolated or grieving the loss of a loved one, etc. I lift up those who are struggling this Christmas and pray that you sense the loving presence of God and you are filled with the incredible Hope that the Christ child we celebrate brings.

Merry Christmas to all and Happy New Year!

Hello Everyone,

Welcome as always!

Well its 4:09 am and I am smiling and crying, as I am about to celebrate six years Morgellons free tomorrow!!

Two of my friends and fellow sufferers, Mary Beth celebrates her fifth and
Kathy GW celebrates her fourth, on the same day. What a blessing! You are both always fondly in the back of my mind.

For me this is a gift from God, I know now that many many more shall follow in the return to health. For me these are my Christmas Gifts.

You are all my family, and my wish is that GOD bestows his grace on you and heals as many as possible.

May GOD bless each and every one of you!!!

Don't You ever ever give up HOPE!

Mel

P.S. - Anybody who needs to talk tomorrow, just send me an email
as I will be here cooking a ham and playing with the trains on the floor with the children of my friends and neighbors! I will respond to all emails received until noon pacific.

Hi Mel,
I was watching your video last night and strangely enough it was very comforting! :) I've never been into model trains myself, as a kid i played with my brother with his, but I was fascinated with all the detail you put into each area. The scenery on the lower part of the walls that one would see looking out the train window if one was actually aboard, the rock tunnel, and the blue river... And so many different trains. All of it was so very nice and detailed. I really liked the "ride" via the mounted camera. I was in need of a distraction from some negative thinking I was doing and it really helped so much. Also when I saw little Charlie's sweet face playing with his train I really had a flood of tears let loose. I'm so happy for him for being healed. It was just one more reason I am thankful for you. I know we all are. And it was like I was a visitor in your home, that you had welcomed us all in to show us your creation. It's so nice to put your voice to your face and see you in action. Anyway, Im a rambling again. Just wanted to thank you for your sharing so much of your life with us!
Hugs and blessings, Mary

Hello Everyone,

Welcome as always.

As the holiday season approaches I thought I would start by showing still pictures of the model railroad that took over two years to build. I built this thinking I might die from Morgellons.

I wanted to build one more layout, as I have loved trains since I was 18 months old.

A special thanks to Bill Moffit, who crawled around on the floor with me for hours at a time despite the fact that I was so ill. Bill always told me I wasn't going to die. Also, I would be remiss if I didn't thank my dear friend Doug, who taught me a lot about life as well as about trains. Bill has since passed away and I haven't seen Doug in 5 years. Both are thought of often, with wonderful memories.

These pictures will show you the great detail that went into this project of love. I truly hope they bring a smile to your face as they have mine each time I have looked at them. Remember at the bottom of this thread is the video made a few months after these pictures!

Enjoy and have the happiest of holidays possible.

Remember, this too shall pass; there is living proof of this throughout our website!!

God bless you all, Never ever give up HOPE!

Hello everyone.

It hard to believe another year has flown by. As some of you may remember, in last year's Christmas message, I relayed to you the beneficial role that my hobby played in dealing with the isolation and loneliness I experienced during my recovery from Morgellons(read through this thread and see the video below).

Shown here is an updated picture of little Charlie playing with his train which he received last year (see From One Young Man to Another). His mom sent me this picture recently and I thought I would share it with you.

Charlie is symptom free now and doing great. My how he has grown! As always, the message we bring forth is that of Hope, so for all you parents who worry about your children, Charlie is only one of many whose life and health has been restored here.

I am deeply moved by the joy on little Charlie's face for the passion we share, and I give thanks and praise to God for allowing me to play a small role in the work He is doing here.

I pray that His loving presence will be a constant source of strength and encouragement for all of us during these holidays and throughout the coming year. May 2014 be your year of jubilee, when any chains that have bound you are released and you are able to embrace new opportunities with the boldness that comes from faith.

From the bottom of my heart, Merry Christmas to All!

God Bless; Never Give up Hope!

DEAR CUNDUCTOR MEL,

That ride was without a doubt, the most joyous experience of my Christmas!!!!!

I haven't giggled and felt so like a child in a very, long time. How did you mount that camera? This reminded me of a COAL CART ride I took at Wild Bills in Laughlin six years ago!! LIKE YOU ARE REALLY ON BOARD. You obviously have a 'producer' tucked away inside. Great Job, Brother. WONDEROUS!!!

I especially enjoyed YOUR PRESENCE shifting track and shuffling through both rooms to turn and weeve yourself in motion with the ride. I CAN SEE YOU REMAIN FIT!! LOVE THE SOCK VIEW.

Thank you, brother...for both the wonder of what you have built and the window into your character!! I'm gonna go for another ride!!

Mel, thanks for sharing the video of your model trains. Very cool. I used to take my boys to the Children's museum in my city when they were little and one of most favorite areas was the model trains and the the intricacies of it. We would watch for a long time and they would be so intrigued. I have picked up an old hobby of reading novels again. It really does help take the mind away from the illness. P.S. saw your Oreck vacuum in the background and such clean floors! ha ha

I hope to assemble it when I have Grandchildren someday. Again, thanks for sharing . Lis

A HOLIDAY MESSAGE TO ALL

Hello Everyone,

Welcome as always.

I have talked with many of you this past month or so answering questions and discussing hobbies!

Hobbies - "What can they possibly have to do with Morgellons?" I was repeatly asked.

There was no one to talk with when I had this disease, so to compensate for the loneliness and isolation that I endured, I went back to my childhood favorite thing; model railroading!

I have tried to encourage everyone to think back to a happier time and consider taking up a hobby during your time of illness to help ease the journey, pass the time and focus on something you love.

This is what helped me keep my sanity:

Enjoy!

God Bless every one of you,

Never Never give up HOPE!

Mel
