Hello Everyone and Welcome,

Thank you to our very own Joyce for this splash of humor.

God Bless You All, those who never gave up HOPE, got well.

Mel

OK, here's you a good laugh, allegedly a true story and is recorded in the Police Log of Sarasota, Florida.

An elderly Florida lady did her shopping and, upon returning to her car, found four men in the act of leaving with her vehicle. She dropped her shopping bags and drew her handgun, proceeding to scream at the top of her lungs, "I have a gun, and I know how to use it! Get out of the car!"

The guys did not wait for a second warning; they got out and ran like mad. The lady, somewhat shaken, then proceeded to load her shopping bags into the back of the car and got into the driver's seat. She was so shaken that she could not get her key in the ignition. She tried and tried, and then realized why. For the same reason she had wondered why there was a football, a Frisbee, and two 12-packs of beer in the front seat.

A few minutes later, she found her own car parked four or five spaces farther down. She loaded her bags into her car and drove to the police station to report her mistake.

The sergeant to whom she told the story couldn't stop laughing. He pointed to the other end of the counter, where four pale men were reporting a car jacking by a mad, elderly woman described as white, less than five feet tall, glasses, curly white hair, and carrying a large handgun.

No charges were filed.

Someone thought they were funny when they added: Moral of the story? If you're going to have a senior moment...make it memorable.

Hello Everyone and Welcome,

A special thanks to our very own Peter for sharing this with us.

This is a little story about four people; Everybody, Somebody, Anybody and Nobody. There was an important job to be done, and Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it. Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it. Somebody got angry about that because it was Everybody's job. Everybody thought that Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn't do it! It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done.

God bless, those who did not give up HOPE got well!

Saw this quote in a shop window when I was close to giving up. It helped me to understand what I was going through, the test that it was and the hope to stay strong! May it inspire you to "never give up hope" and stay strong.

A special Thank You to our very own Joyce for:

Forest Gump goes to Heaven

Gates. St. Peter said, "Welcome, Forest. We've heard a lot about you."

He continued, "Unfortunately, it's getting pretty crowded up here and we find that we now have to give people an entrance examination before we let them in." "Okay," said Forest. "I hope it's not too hard. I've already been through a test. My momma used to say, 'Life is like a final exam. It's hard.' " "Yes, Forest, I know. But this test is only three questions.

Here they are.

1) Which two days of the week begin with the letter 'T'?"
2) How many seconds are in a year?
3) What is God's first name? "

Well, sir," said Forest, "The first one is easy. Which two days of the week begin with the letter 'T'? Today and Tomorrow."
St. Peter looked surprised and said, "Well, that wasn't the answer I was looking for, but you have a point. I give you credit for that answer."

"The next question," said Forest, "How many seconds are in a year? Twelve." "Twelve?" said St. Peter, surprised and confused. "Yes, sir. January 2nd, February 2nd, March 2nd …" St. Peter interrupted him. "I see what you mean. I'll have to give you credit for that one, too."

"And the last question," said Forest, "What is God's first name? It's Andy." "Andy?" said St. Peter, in shock. "How did you come up with 'Andy'?" "I learned it in church. We used to sing about it." Forest broke into song, "Andy walks with me, Andy talks with me, Andy tells me I am His own.”

" St. Peter opened the gate to heaven and said, "Run, Forest, Run!"

As the full moon gets closer and activity increases, I like to remind myself that it's going to be better after it passes.

Just have to be strong and make it through.

Mel,

I didn't know what hit me when the beasties came back in full force.
then you explained about the full moon and put my mind at rest.

I'd got on the road to wellness before so I could do it again.

Once you explained things, it all made sense and I knew Hope wasn't dead, just sleeping.

It was just the moon exerting her influence like she does on the seas and the unquiet mind.

After that I had a nasty episode of kidney infection/ stones but getting over that too.

Lots of songs are a blessing I find and certain pieces of music.

I listen to old favorites sung by Jim Reeves

God Bless you Mel.

Hello Everyone and Welcome,

Thank you to Craig for bringing this wonderful song to our attention.

A quote that has been attributed to several different philosopher's from Socrates onward is very appropriate here: "Be kind for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle".

Here is a link to a song that I found to be both upbeat and inspiring: One Life

Hello Everyone and Welcome,

This morning when I woke up @ 4 AM, went to the kitchen started my coffee and then sat and stared at the moon.

I do this on occasion to remind myself how lucky can you get, for there was a time when just being alive when the full moon appears was horrific.

The very good news is, that you too can restore your health!

those days have since been gone for many years, but never the memories.

During those dark days, bobby McFerrin's song;
Don't Worry Be Happy always seemed to bring a smile to my face.

I HOPE IT WILL DO THE SAME FOR YOU!

God bless, for those who do not give up HOPE get well!

Thank you for this, Mel!

I will definitely try to listen to this song a few times this week. As I expect going to the 4 Dr.s (LLMD, Gyn, Allergist, Infectious Disease) will be trying, arduous and frustrating.

:) Don't worry, Shari, be happy!

Hey Mel

Thank you, brother. Music is such a great way to treat the spirit. I remember us singing this together when I was very sick. Do you?

Just like your beautiful photos of wildlife, this is yet another spiritual tool, given freely by you, to manage the difficulty of the battle back. God bless!

In His Love,
Peter
