Morgellons - Thank you John B
Thank you John B

Many LLMDs do use IV antibiotics which may be helpful for some depending upon their overall infection load and the current stage of development of their disease.

While they might benefit those with acute infection, those with chronic persistent Lyme might not see as much benefit. Lyme coinfections are notorious for their pleomorphic (shape shifting) abilities and their tendency to migrate to tissues with poor blood supply.

Morgellons -

Hello, all. I completed a search on this topic, but I did not see this particular subject addressed. Here is my question: since it seems like morgellions co-exists with many other bacteria (such as Lyme disease), has anyone noticed fewer symptoms following a surgery when they were given intravenous antibiotics? The reason I ask is because I saw remarkable improvement with 2 other people who were infected (my dad and then-boyfriend). My dad received several days of antibiotics via an IV when he was hospitalized for a severe lung infection. My uncle treated their home while my dad was hospitalized, and my father has been symptom free since. My boyfriend was also asymptomatic following surgery to place a metal plate to correct his broken arm. He has no symptoms for several weeks following surgery, but no one treated his home and he eventually began to feel the crawling and itching sensations again. I would not advocate injesting antibiotics due to issues with gut flora, but I would consider receiving them through an IV if it could help destroy any bacteria that was helping the morgellions to survive. Please let me know if anyone seemed to gain relief after a medical procedure that used an IV to administer antibiotics. Thank you in advance.
