Hi Martha,

Welcome! If your husband wants to talk to another

man, he can talk to Rob and ask him questions about

what we have gone through if that would help. Just

ask Mel for our numbers. So sorry to hear about

your Dad. Deanna your post was right on! Deanna did

a great job in letting you know the steps to take,

read, do what the protocol recommends and you will

be healed.

love always, Paula

Hello Martha!

Welcome!! I am not a couple but I agree with you completely that the couples conference call was VERY beneficial..!!! I believe it was Paula who said we have to accept our families for where they are. I also think that we can all agree that if we weren't living through this ourselves it would be hard to believe!?!?!

I am sorry to hear of the loss of your Dad, I do know how hard it is to lose a parent. I can't imagine that on top of all this!! I will send some extra prayers of comfort for you!!!

Please try to connect more with this community, by posting as well as participating in the conference calls. I can honestly say it has changed my journey and I really believe it has helped me heal. I too felt very isolated before connecting here, now I struggle to fit everything in; 2 weekly conference calls, a prayer call, calls with Mel and other community members as well as posts, emails, etc. This place is truly life changing, be sure to take advantage of all it has to offer!!

As for the diet there is not an easy way to say it other than borrowing the Nike slogan, "Just Do It"...!!! The sooner you start the sooner it will all become part of your normal routine and the less overwhelming it will be. I too work full time, thus I know the difficulties of having to prepare meals on top of that. I try to do all my cutting, cleaning and chopping of veggies, etc. on Saturdays then I try to do as much cooking as I can on Sunday's. I do spend more time in the kitchen now then I ever have "but" I am also starting to feel better than I have in a loooooong time so the pay-off is worth it!!!!

Lastly, if you are not yet on the Protocol do whatever you can to start it as soon as you can!!! The exhaustion as well as other people being allergic to you AND sooooo much more will all improve as you start getting well, I promise!!!!

Love, Peace & Prayers,
Deanna

First of all, I must thank all of you for the conference on "Couples".

No one in my family understands what I am going through- my husband knows that something is wrong but he thinks it is emotional. I was very encouraged by what was shared and hope to get my husband to listen.

This is so isolating and I have been in despair. My dad died in August and it has made this harder. I have had such a difficult time with staying on the diet.

Everyone who posts seems so successful. I once lost 25 lbs and I was so disciplined. I can't seem to muster the discipline now. I am so exhausted and barely have energy to wash clothes. Cooking has been overwhelming.

I am going to go part time soon. Hopefully, that will help me.

I have people who seem allergic to me. I am so ashamed of my lack of discipline. I fear that others are getting sick.

I so want to have a success story like so many here.

Thank you.
