Hi everyone,

My husband, daughter and I recently had the awesome privilege of meeting Mel personally. We were traveling through the Reno area and were able to connect with Mel and enjoy his company on several outings.

We had a great time and lots of fun with this wonderful friend who is full of life, energy, hope and good will towards everyone he meets. Mel, you truly are family now! We love you dearly and miss you already. Carrie sends her love and says "I love you Uncle Mel!". I must say that you cannot out-give this man, and we know because we TRIED! He still won the giving game with us!

I wish you all could experience what it is like to be walking along sight-seeing with Mel and suddenly realize he's missing... only to discover he has fallen behind to counsel and encourage someone with serious health issues who he just met on the street for the first time. For Mel... every day is an opportunity to make a difference in someone's life. This precious man is the real deal and while there are always skeptics who assume someone is making a fortune off people who suffer, let me say that you cannot spend a week with a guy like this and not see the truth. Mel has learned to live small in order to do large things in the lives of others.

We also had an opportunity to drive with Mel out into the beautiful and pristine Carson Valley where he hopes that his beloved clinic will someday exist. Together we dreamed about the possibilities and Mel showed us properties where he could envision his clinic operating. Every dream of his revolves around those suffering from MD and how a clinic could change even more lives. I never once heard him mention personal goals or dreams, only what he dreams for others. That's one of the reasons he keeps finding ways to do with less for himself so he can do more for others.

I hope someday that all of you will be well enough to spend some time with this lovely Man and get to know him as we did. In the meantime, as you are recovering, please encourage him with a word of thanks and please support Mel financially so that he can keep working and keep dreaming.

God Bless,

Deborah B.
