I've experimented so much, I find the food processor works best for my shakes. I sometimes use unsweetened almond milk too. If you REALLY want a creamy milkshake add an avocado to it, it adds that creamy texture and makes it nice and thick so you can use almond or coconut milk. I'm a bit iffy on green apples since I don't tolerate em too much. :( Too much sugar still. I wish, I'm kinda jealous! Oh, and besides cinnamon I like to switch it up and add pumpkin spice to it with some vanilla stevia. You can add a nut butter too if you wish: Almond, pumpkin seeds, sunbutter, flax, chia. Another combo of mine is alcohol free peppermint extract and mint flakes to make a shamrock shake! I use vanilla beans on and off in the smoothies as well. I recently found a vegan protein powder be essential living food that I add to my shakes. It has sacha inchi seed, brazil nut, and hemp seed in it. It's also sweetened with just stevia. It really helps with my energy levels since we all know there is no such thing as caffeine or high sugar in our diet. Gotta keep our energy up somehow!
Other than just diet, you and I seem to have a lot in common Tee. Between loving our fashion, our sweet tooth diets, the way we handle things. My whole family doubts me and what I am sick with, so I can feel for you. Remember though, if we can get through this ourselves everything else will be a cakewalk! We will come out of this so fearless and educated and independent.
