I haven't spoken to you before, but my heart breaks that your husband doesn't understand what you're dealing with. I don't know how I would have coped without Larry's support.
And all of you ladies who are also dealing with your children suffering, as well, have my tears and prayers. I have been on the protocol for about 5 weeks now, but July 24th will be 3 years that I have had Morgellons. When I first realized someone could get this from me (my Mom first, then 4 others), I sent my then 11 and 16-year old children to relatives' houses for 2 weeks, while I began ripping out carpet and frantically bagging up clothes, etc. In the first stages, I also had a baby grandchild that I stopped holding, almost entirely. Somehow, my children have escaped this madness, and I have been able to finally relax about touching them and letting my grandbabies sit on my lap. I am still cautious. If I feel alot of activity (crawling and such), I will not allow them in my lap.
Things will get better! Your mindset will get better. Your stress will subside. One thing I have found is how much my priorities in my life have been reshuffled. Stuff that used to bother me just slides off now. I have had to deal with this for periods of months without physical help because my husband's job takes him on the road for months at a time. (He's gone now, possibly through the end of the year) I have found a strength I did not know I had. You will, too.
I'm still looking toward the continued improvement in symptoms, since I'm still new to the protocol, but I'm also very hopeful there, as well.
God bless you and keep you as you continue on! |
