DE is generally fine I think he's saying to be careful not to inhale it. It kind of goes all over and it's hard to not breathe it in when you are working with it. Dust mask would prob help with that : )

Hi Tee.
The very small dust like particulate make up of silica can be harmful to lung and mucosal tissue. Always best to wear a mask and keep the air you breathe pristine.

Curious.... What's harmful about D.E.? Just thought I'd ask because I have used it on occasion as well.
