SoHadEnough 1/26/2011 9:13:43 PM | I have not posted here before, but I've been helped by this site for almost 6 months since discovering that I have Morgellons in addition to late-stage Lyme. Thank you, Mel. I'm a single woman now living in a new community where I hope to find work and rebuild my life following 2+ years of mystifying, undiagnosed illness. I don't have much backup and I can't afford to have my sanity questioned on top of everything else I've lost, so I've concealed this part of my illness from everyone except my mom and my LLMD. I haven't had a haircut for 6 months because my scalp was/is much affected, and I don't want to explain this to a stylist. I've been wearing a fleece hat at all times, which is demoralizing. And itchy, no matter how much Cedarcide or diatomaceous earth is applied to the hat. I can't go to a job interview in a fleece hat. It seems I'll have to cut my hair pretty short and in some way that will camouflage the giant bald spot I got from trying to pull out the weird mutant hairs. Which worked on my face, but not on my head. Does anyone here cut hair? I know it's a long shot but I thought I'd try. I live about an hour outside Philly. Any other advice about dealing with hair is appreciated. (I'm using Jason's and Neutrogena T-gel shampoo, soaking my comb/brush in Orange Tko.) Thank you! |
