Get out and run in the fresh air or take long walks and breathe deep fresh air. Start yoga classes for the deep breathing effects. Lungs have a way of clearing themselves out but you can certainly help it along.

bpw,

Although DE can be helpful with birdmites we do not believe that DE is of significant help in Morgellons.

We deliberated for some time on whether or not to post this. We decided to because references to DE Diatomaceous Earthare common on Morgellons websites and a frequent topic of inquiry here.

Yes, DE does have an inhalation risk. From the above link: "The type of hazard posed by inhalation depends on the form of the silica. Crystalline silica poses a serious inhalation hazard because it can cause silicosis. Amorphous silica can cause dusty lungs, but does not carry the same degree of risk as crystalline silica. Natural or dried diatomite generally contains very low percentages of crystalline silica. Diatomite produced for pool filters is treated with high heat (calcining) and a fluxing agent (soda ash), causing the formerly amorphous silicon dioxide to assume its crystalline form." It seems unlikely that you would have serious health consequences from a brief (not a matter of years) exposure. Silicosis generally results from a longterm exposure.

In keeping with our "DO NO HARM" policy:
You may wish to consider other respiratory ailments. If your condition is as serious as you intimate please see your Health Care Provider.

Question: I think I goofed -- I put a lot of DE on the carpet where my low-level cot is located and just realized that's why I'm coughing up a storm and can barely walk from being so tired. How can I get this out of my lungs? Anybody?
Thank you
