JohnB 3/19/2015 2:03:01 PM | Hi Mark, Great to hear that you and your children are still doing so well. Burdock is not one of the many synergistic herbs included in the Burgstiner Wellness Protocol, but it is a very effective blood purifier that also has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. It is one of the primary ingredients in an ancient Native American remedy known as Essiac Tea that is often used by cancer patients. Unfortunately Mark, there is no true silver bullet for Morgellons or Lyme for that matter. As I was sharing with someone else earlier today, there are literally thousands of herbs and nutrients out there that have antimicrobial and other medicinal properties, many of which we are already working with (monolaurin and the herbal components in our protocol, extension kit, Parabolish, etc.) and some I am still investigating. Some that may be of particular interest to the Lyme community are artemisinin, teasel, cryptolepis, burdock, sarsaparilla, and the one with the most potential that I am currently working with and will soon introduce - berberine. Not only is it antimicrobial, it also reportedly normalizes blood sugar and cholesterol levels while lowering systemic inflammation. Anyway, there is no shortage of protocols out there. Any of them will work to the degree they rehabilitate the bioterrain, lower infections and coinfections, promote detox pathways and clear out biofilm pockets. Mel’s protocol does just that and very well. However, when it comes to experimenting with single herbs, what works really well with one person may not work as well with another. This is why most of our formulas take advantage of the synergy of multiple herbs and nutrients. Indeed, the synergy in Mel's protocol may just be the closest thing we have to a silver bullet. We will continue to look for ways to improve results and enable you to stay one step ahead of these cunning pathogens which are capable of adapting to prescription drugs and to a lesser extent even natural therapies. Thanks again Mark for sharing your experience with burdock and updating us on your family's continued success with your health. Blessings, John |
Mark 12/3/2015 3:11:19 PM | John, Please look into Burdock Root more.. I think you have it in small amounts, as part of your wellness/extended protocol. SInce I started taking it as a stand alone-- 2 pills twice daily, another magic bullet I and kids are 95%+ really close to 100% most days but i will have 2 or 3 days in a row each month, with very mild symptoms.. then they go away :-) kids normal now As I said, we are on the smoothie thing now mostly, as per my last post... no silver no MMS anymore EVERYONE, BELIEVE ME, IT GETS BETTER, IT REALLY DOES, AND YOU DO MOVE ON FROM THIS,,,,, :-) thanks Mark |
