7/6/2016 12:59:30 PM | Good day to all. I am writing here to strengthen my resolve, to process some of the profound sharings I read here and chronicle the transformations hosting this disease's journey has wrought within me. Not long ago I thought I would have it for life and that it might possibly end my life. And I accepted that; I still had a ray of hope, but I accepted that because I was uninformed. Because it caused me such pain and isolated me from my family and the world, I first perceived it as an enemy invader. Later as an uninvited guest or a messenger because of my belief that, within God's plan, there was always a reason. If I was to carry it then I would learn it's lessons, looking to God for guidance. I have had debilitating autoimmune and hormonal illnesses since childhood but this was different, this was an organism I watched and physically removed from myself each day. I had no access to medical care, no one to discuss this with; I only asked my guardian angels how to perceive this and what should I do? To please guide me. I told one very busy friend; she bought me skin care she researched online and told me to buy kelp and alter my diet. I developed severe sinus infections and was given a course of Bactrim. Alone and lonely always and feeling better, I prayed to meet a friend. The next day I met one, sick with anemia, and she mentioned the merits of mms. I saw that mentioned somewhere and asked her to share some with me. Amazing stuff! Still haven't told her I have M. and I only see her when symptoms are small and I'm afraid to hug her. No contact with my son or granddaughter either; we talk on the phone only.(told my son I have a contagious skin disease). Anyway, throughout all this Ive become emotionally stronger and more honest and clear in my important relationships. I think the darn M is teaching me self~love, and in that process I began a new way of "teaching" others how to treat me. I am more assertive and focused for sure. Since I joined Mel's whole Movement here my habits are changing. I find myself reaching for water instead of the other habitual things (coffeeholic), I find myself gagging just looking at "normal" food and desiring green leaves instead. As Jane said, I am more comfortable in my own skin; I cut my hair short like a boy, for my skin's comfort I walk the world without much makeup or adornment (former glam~doll). Something prompts me to exercise and I am surprised. The process is alive within me. Those poor little buggers will be happier in the water, soil and flora from which they came, their natural balanced habitat. And when we heal the Earth they may disappear for good back to the elements. I am making peace with M, myself and this life I've been given. With much love and gratitude, Christine |
