Thanks for your response Ellen!

I'm going to look into the chickory coffee!Alkaline this body up with a boost!! :)

I also buy the unsweetend almond & coconut milk. Sometimes for Tyler I put a drop of Stevia to sweeten it a bit because he doesn't really like it. At this point I'm having to bribe him to drink his milk.. His piggy bank is getting a little heavier! but atleast he's getting his calcium!

@ Lisa~ hope your feeling a little better! I personally wld love a nice little townhouse, less work than a big place with acres:) I have to mow my lawn and honestly I could do without it at this point!Try to look at the positives! You say your to thin ..Well I've been getting to fat! lol I put a recipe in the children & morgellons section for flatbread that is soo good it will surly help put on some pounds! Get a food processor if you dont have one .. make you some almond flour, almond butter, almond bread.. TRUST me 5 lbs later ... & I dont need to gain weight!! lol :) Try Try Try to stay positive Lisa!
Your in my prayers lady! Attitude is important, fight the fight and in the words of this really super wise man I know ~ never give up hope!

Love,
Nicole

Hi Lisa,

You can try a chickory coffee which is supposed to be alkaline. Peter suggested that once in a while I should indulge in a cup of coffee, so that's what I do. Just not very often, but it makes me feel normal!
I think you hit upon something in your post that I have been wondering about. There seems to be a huge percentage of 50-plus women with this illness. It would be great for someone to research this demographic. I had a pretty healthy lifestyle prior to getting this, no existing other health issues, so I was blindsided, but I'm happy to say that I have been doing very well on the protocol with so few symptoms that I forget that I have it. I do have to rest because I can get overtired from work and other responsibilities.
A couple of other things . . . I buy a coconut and almond milk in the dairy section that is unsweetend and it tastes great.
When I go out to eat, which is rare, I can always find a salad or soup that fits my needs.
I also have days that don't go well, but compared to where I was last fall, I am so grateful to get my life back. It sounds like you have a lot of demands from family, as I do, and it is hard, but if you can make your health a priority, you will be doing all of them a favor in the long run.

Best to you as you move forward in health,

Ellen

I know that they sell low acid coffee....I miss that boost too! I only drink water and occasional herbal teas. Never was a tea drinker, only Iced tea with sugar and lemon. Even before I got this, I had had problems in the past with candida. Chronic fatigue syndrome.....I immediately cut out all the crap I was eating and drinking...yes, lots of wine and beer....I went back to my candida free diet. That was 5 years ago.I have lost 40 lbs. I am 5'8' and I think I weigh 117 now. At my lowest, I was 108. I look like an old menopausal woman now, which I am. That is when all this started for me, when I hit menopause....I thought it was that. I thought how do women do this? any way, maybe someone else will shed some more knowlege on the coffee. I wonder if Mel drinks coffee now that he is well?? Man I used to pound 3 mugs in the morning and zing around til the afternoon working on my old moldy house and my 2 acre yard. Now, we live in a townhouse, and I can't keep up. The old house we still own. Hoping one day, I will be well enough to go back there. I hate this townhouse!Hope everyone is more cheerful than me. Lis
