Pokys Mom 5/20/2013 1:40:39 PM | I have been wondering, what kind of coconut milk everyone uses. I have been buying 'SO' unsweetened, but also see a thicker organic non GMO version in a can. Would this be considered ok? I used it to make curried shrimp. Also, this is a completely different topic. Do people wear deodorant? It is going to be hot soon. Don't mind smelling so much at home, but if I have to go out???? One more question. I have to go into the city for an eye exam. This will require eating out...drops in eyes, long day. What do people eat when they have to eat out? Love and healing to all....thanks for your feedback! Lis |

His piggy bank is getting a little heavier! but atleast he's getting his calcium! @ Lisa~ hope your feeling a little better! Ellen 5/24/2013 3:55:44 PM | Hi Lisa, You can try a chickory coffee which is supposed to be alkaline. Peter suggested that once in a while I should indulge in a cup of coffee, so that's what I do. Just not very often, but it makes me feel normal! I think you hit upon something in your post that I have been wondering about. There seems to be a huge percentage of 50-plus women with this illness. It would be great for someone to research this demographic. I had a pretty healthy lifestyle prior to getting this, no existing other health issues, so I was blindsided, but I'm happy to say that I have been doing very well on the protocol with so few symptoms that I forget that I have it. I do have to rest because I can get overtired from work and other responsibilities. A couple of other things . . . I buy a coconut and almond milk in the dairy section that is unsweetend and it tastes great. When I go out to eat, which is rare, I can always find a salad or soup that fits my needs. I also have days that don't go well, but compared to where I was last fall, I am so grateful to get my life back. It sounds like you have a lot of demands from family, as I do, and it is hard, but if you can make your health a priority, you will be doing all of them a favor in the long run. Best to you as you move forward in health, Ellen |
