Mel 10/4/2011 10:39:56 AM | Hello Everyone, Welcome as always. Patience; something many people aspire a whole lifetime to learn. Patience; something the Higher Power has been trying to teach me all my life. Patience; something that I have talked to all of you about on many occasions. After fourteen months of waiting, I have finally been rewarded with a special team of doctors who are going to remove the old metal and perform my hip replacement - all as one operation and as a three man team. It appears that all of my hopes and prayers for for so many months are about to pay off. I was notified this Friday that my dream team was assembled and they are looking forward to what they refer to as 'an interesting challenge'. I have spoken with each doctor three times since last Thursday. I cannot tell you what a comforting feeling that is and how blessed I am. I will be taking all of my pre-op tests tomorrow, and if all is well, the surgery will take place within two weeks. I was told it was their goal to have me up and walking for Christmas. Regardless of the outcome of this surgery, I am at peace. When my appointed time comes to leave this place, I know where I am going, and I know that the trials and triumphs I have experienced are being used to bring healing and happiness to others. Thank you all for your prayers, patience, love and encouragement. May God bless all of you. He certainly has blessed me. Never, Never Give up Hope! Mel |
