Ellen 1/2/2015 3:57:56 PM | Happy New Year Everyone! I am in the habit of responding to others on their thread but I will try to use my own in the future so that what helped me during my journey will be easier to locate. So, to address the idea of others being allergic to us, I think I was so frightened in the beginning, that I saw everyone itching while in my presence, like at a staff meeting. I was so afraid of others contracting this from me. Here's the thing. We don't really know if we are putting others at risk. For new people to this site, that may drive you crazy, but in a sense, it is beside the point. We need to focus on healing ourselves and when we get better, all the crazy symptoms will stop. Mel told me this in the beginning and I didn't get it, but now I do. When you heal internally, all the external symptoms will go away. We need to be patient. I was so focused on how I got this, and why and how my environment was giving me this that I couldn't see the logic in his advice. So my advice here is to not spend your energy on each symptom and who else has the same experience. It doesn't matter. Everyone's symptoms are a little different. What matters is to eat clean, follow the protocol as soon as you can, and then you will not need to worry about contagion. I was very cautious about close contact, laundry, not sharing food, etc. and I think that is wise. It is a lonely journey. I spent a lot of time alone. But because of that, I got rest, and clarity and I hope some wisdom and gratitude. The reason I did not struggle with the diet restrictions is because the clean eating is necessary to build health, and not just to rid ourselves of this disease. You may live longer and therefore be of service and not a burden to your loved ones. Not a bad thing! Another issue was do grains make you purge and is purging a good thing? In my opinion, high-glycemic carbs, sugar and other forbidden substances make your symptoms worse – so your itching, biting, etc. may increase. Not necessarily related to purging. The purging is your skins way of eliminating what is toxic and will continue until you are well. It is scary to see what comes out of our skin and scalp, but we need to keep to the protocol one day at a time. And let's give credit to our fearless leader Mel. If he were to post every horror story, people would recoil and maybe give up. On this site there is much support and hope and love and the desire to see people get well.. You found the source to help you, so you can rejoice in that! Stay strong in hope as this new year unfolds! Ellen |
KimJ 12/29/2014 8:12:17 AM | Ellen, There you are! Thank you for your advice. I read everyday. You mentioned how terrifying this disease is: When I reach remission, I am going to get a tee shirt made that says I BEAT THE BEAST. This in all aspects is very much a demonic beast. The worst part is not the strange physical things. Its THE EMOTIONAL MENTAL TRAUMA. I already have POST TRAUMATIC STRESS DISORDER from sexual and military trauma. I WILL need years of counseling through Christ and a sound medical doctor to ease all the torment and pain. Mel if you can, I'd so greatly appreciate it if you could forward Ellen my phone and email. Mel,Thank the LORD for you. I am blessed in so many ways by the grace and hope you give me. I LOVE YOU AND PETER WITH ALL OF MY SOUL. KIM J > |
