Hello Shawn,

I hope you are starting to feel a little better on the supplements. I know that this illness can really suppress the appetite on top of the other things it does to tax our bodies. Especially when you are sick, it is hard to shop, prepare the food, and clean up afterwards. In your case, being a landscaper, just having access to clean food throughout the day can be tougher.
To gain weight, you must eat a caloric surplus or more than what your body is burning. If you are very active in your job, it makes it harder to gain weight. Also, considering that you are probably at work most the day, you will have to find ways to get food into your body without having to cook it there.
You want to make sure you are getting enough protein in the diet, but not too much. For you, probably 100-150 grams a day will be ideal. Using the Logos whey isolate (sweetened with Stevia) should really help you as you can prepare and drink it throughout the day. To get the additional calories you need, they should come from good fats such as coconut, flax, and olive oils. I would add a few tablespoons of either olive or flax oils to the whey isolate shakes to get those quick calories. You can also eat some nuts such as almonds throughout the day, and those are also easy to carry with you.
When not at work, you should eat whole eggs, some lean meats (every other day), and green vegetables. Avocados are great in that they are a green vegetable, but they are also loaded with good fats. I eat about 3-4 each day.
Shawn, it may help to keep a food diary and track your weight weekly. Once you are gaining about 0.5 a kg per week, you will know you are eating enough.

Stay strong.

Derek
