Hey Shawn,
First off I just wanted to say how brave you seem with almost 6-7 months of the protocol following it to a T and still not giving up. Hang in there, I have a feeling these rashes and your symptoms will go away rather quickly within the next few months you work into the protocol, I just have that feeling since people seem to experience a decent amount of relief at about 8-12 months! So... please don't give up hope, you will get better with time.
Wanna hear something funny? I don't have any chicken skin anywhere on my body BUT it is on my face and my swollen lymph nodes. I look kinda funny, but it's not as bad as when I first started. My skin was really red and blotchy and dried out, it hurt when I used coconut oil mixed with tea tree in it or when I just put tea tree on it directly. My fix for mine was using tea tree on my face religiously and MSM cream that I found at the health food store. And right now the only thing I've been doing to my face is witch hazel to try to clear up the blotchyish rash and what looks like acne. Witch hazel really helps bring things to the top and stops the itching for me.
I hope you're doing well and have faith, I can so tell you can do this! If you want, you can keep contact with me via email for moral support, questions, etc. I'm behind you on the protocol since I'm only about five months in, buuuut I do have a lot of spirit and I can be your cheerleader. I also don't think I'm half bad at giving advice.
As for your sweet tooth... I have one too. I crave not just sweets, lots of different food cravings all day. I tend to make a lot of "milkshakes" which consist of avocados, coconut/almond milk, vanilla beans extracted, stevia, nutbutters. I posted about it in Tee's thread, A mustard seed of faith!
I snack on a lot of sunbutter to get rid of cravings, not sure why but this seems to do the trick. Sunbutter/almond butter cookies are the best! Mmmm. Also, with what nicole said, I added dairy into my diet. Just plain organic yogurt with stevia and nuts. You can add vanilla bean to that too if you want vanilla yogurt.
Don't give up! You're doing so well, the fact that you are still able to work with this is amazing to me. Wow!
