Mel 5/11/2013 12:57:45 PM | Hello Everyone, welcome as always. The pictures above are of me (a few years back) and Little Charlie, both of whom share a love of trains. Those of you who tune in to the next teleconference call on May 19th will meet Charlie in person. Morgellons brought Charlie and his Mom into our midst January 2012. When I learned of his love of trains, it reminded me of my lifelong passion that provided me with so many precious hours of enjoyment during the early days of my time of isolation and struggle with Morgellons. I decided it was time to part with one of my trains, so I packed it up and sent it to Little Charlie. The video below is a video message received from Charlie a few days thereafter. I hope that you enjoy it as much as I did. I lift a special prayer of thanksgiving and encouragement for all you Moms out there who are trying your best to care for your little ones. May you have a Happy Mother's Day! God Bless; Never Ever Give up Hope! Mel

Deborah B 5/20/2013 2:20:39 PM | Hi Mel, Theresa and especially Charlie, Carrie and I loved viewing Charlie's 'Five Little Monkeys' video and hearing about the wonderful surprise gift from Mel. It's awesome how God sometimes brings an unexpected little gift into our lives to encourage us as we continue to fight the battle set before us. It can be a simple as a child's toy, or for us adults. . . a gorgeous sunset, a rainbow, a special Bible verse, or a little 'freebie' gift from a friend that we could not afford to buy for ourselves. He uses circumstances or sometimes generous folks like Mel to say 'I love you and I know you just needed something today'. Last night after the Children and Morgellons conference call, Carrie's Dad and I took her out to do a bit of grocery shopping. We always go to one store where there is one of those toy machines that you put money into and then try to manipulate the claw to get a 'free' toy. Of course only about one in 800 kids ever gets one and the toy is hardly 'free' by the time you do get it! We never let Carrie try it for that reason. But every week she walks by and longs for a large stuffed Thomas the Tank Engine in the glass display box. She's never interested in anything but that Thomas because she is a total fan and plays with an electric Thomas set that was given to her by a generous neighbor. Yes Charlie. . . even girls love trains! ;-) For some reason, when Carrie asked last night if she could spend two of her own quarters to try to get that Thomas, her Dad agreed. He carefully explained that the odds were very low that she would get the toy but if she wanted to risk it she could. We'd watched lots of other kids try and go away disappointed over the years. But Carrie put her quarters in and my husband and I watched in fascination as she confidently pushed the lever to steer the claw right over Old Tom and then dropped it on top of him . Even more amazing was seeing the claw pick up Thomas and gently glide him to hang right over the spot where the toys are supposed to fall through. At that point Carrie hit her first bump-in-the-road to Thomas ownership. She pressed the release button but Thomas stuck to the claw. He was really stuck! She tried again and again. She shook the lever hard. We were about to give up when I said, 'I'll shake it real hard and you pray'. So I did and she prayed and then we watched while our friend Thomas dropped into that special spot and down the slide into Carrie's arms! We turned around to see a small group of shoppers watching and cheering her on. Needless to say, Carrie is convinced that Thomas was a special gift from God on a day she just needed a little bit of encouragement. On the way home she said 'Am I dreaming, did God really give me this Thomas?'. She slept with him last night and I believe will do so for some time to come. I must say, I am convinced right along with my daughter that God heard the prayer of a battle-worn little seven year-old and answered it last night. It was just a toy. . . right? But to Carrie it was much more. It was God saying. . . 'sure you can have that Sweetie. . . just because I love you'. Just like a parent, He doesn't always say 'Yes' but sometimes when what we pray for is good for us. . . He does. Our children fighting Morgellons are Warriors too and they get tired and discouraged and in need of some evidence that God cares. Carrie, like a lot of you, has lost much this past year. She has lost her health, her beloved Grammie and is about to loose another Grandmother. She lost her kitty to Morgellons and now we are getting ready to move from our wonderful home for health reasons. She and I have sometimes doubted that God cares. For all you adults out there who are battle worn and doubting His love, I pray God will send you a special gift this week that demonstrates His love and care for you. Remember, in God's eyes , if you know and love Him you are His own darling child. . . every bit as much as Charlie and Carrie are. Whatever it is He sends you, don't fail to recognize that it comes from Him and not by chance. He knows how to speak your personal 'love language' better than you can likely imagine. He certainly spoke my daughter's last night. Good luck with your new train set Charlie and thanks for sharing 'Five Little Monkey's with us! God Bless, Deborah B 'See how great a love the Father has bestowed upon us, that we should be called children of God' 1 John 3:1
