If you seeking to further understand what many have called "scratch marks," let me try to help. For me, these scratch marks would just appear from time to time. Although most of my lesions were circular, I came to view these scratch marks as actual "lateral lesions."
They would sometimes have a raised area at one end of the line or the other and they often were very slow to heal. No one really knows to a certainty about these. They are just another expression of this. I believe they are caused by fiber strands running beneath the skin that for some reason erupt up and out in a line. Just my observartions.
