Amber 9/28/2013 6:12:38 PM | Hi everyone! I know that there is a thread on this subject already ...but, I thought that it would be nice to start a new one that is more up to date. I'm having a terrible time with white specks and white fibers in my hair. I have tried many things and currently am using miss Kathy's coconut shampoo idea. Anybody have any input on this and what worked for them to eliminate this problem? Blessings, Amber |

I use the "Tea Tree Tingle" Shampoo sold at Trader Joe's and then add about 5 to 6 extra drops of tea tree and/or peppermint essential oils to the bottle. The shampoo runs only about $4.00 a bottle, all ingredients are organic, and for the quality it's affordable and works great. One other thing that has helped is using coconut oil with peppermint and clove oil added in and rubbed into the scalp nightly. We then wash this out the next morning with the above method. It is messy and time consuming, but has nearly beat the problem for us. Lately we've been able to drop down to just three nights per week with no relapse in symptoms. This also helps keep your scalp and hair from becoming too dry from the frequent washings. While we still have a small amount of scalp purging it is nearly a thing of the past. It's the one symptom I will most enjoy saying good-bye to! We are three months behind Peter in the protocol so I'm hoping to catch up with him in scalp health soon. ;-)Thanks again Peter for all your amazing suggestions over the last year! Deborah B. |
