Today we celebrate because all our Hope lies in the historical resurrection of Jesus. Without it, He would be just another man, a great prophet or teacher. Time itself is measured by the impact of God's finished work on the cross. I pray that today each of you will find peace in that reality and in His love which surges through this community and through all who place their trust in Him. He is risen! Let your heart be filled with joy. "Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will be joyful in God my Savior. I pray that you have a day free from symptoms. I pray that you abound in the knowledge that whatever sufferings you now endure, you rest in the certainty that they are only temporary. For today we fully accept the gift of our Lord's victory over death and sin. Lift your head up and abound in his infinite love today.
