Welcome Derek back on the road on which you become a warrior in the fight against this horrifically scary disease. Since the beginning, I have likened it to a science fiction horror movie. There is no other description that fits so well. Stephen King couldn't even imagine all this.

I have been on this journey since early April (got sick in February) when I restricted my diet and late April when I started the protocol. I can honestly say that this IS the only place you want to be. You will get better here and will have lots of support and people to talk to while doing it, brother and sister warriors to help you in your fight.

I know you have a lot of anxiety and I empathize with that. I was almost a lost cause when I reached out for Mel's help. I thank God every day for leading me here and for sending me my guardian angel Peter (thank you too Mel!). I truly do and I have cried many tears of joy. Where once there was hopelessness, fear, despair, panic attacks and a feeling of being so alone and scared, now there is strength, courage, peace, a light at the end of the tunnel and the feeling of being part of an encouraging, supportive loving family.

You will find your way. I'm in this fight with you, as is everyone else. I will lend you strength if you need it till you are strong enough to stand on your own and lend you more when you falter as you will do me. I have faith that that day will come soon because it happened for me. You have come to the right place. You have found your way "home."

Take your anxiety medicine if you have to. I had to too... I still have to once in a rare while. My hair scares me terribly and every bath and shower is a trial but I make it thru it and then calm myself by breathing deep and blowing a little of the fear away with each exhale. It also helps to reach out to a friend and just say hi cuz it distracts you (thank you for yesterday Eleanor!). But I also came up with other ways to deal with the overwhelming panic and fear and some are listed under my story topic 'The Girl Next Door." I'd be happy to share others with you if you like.

One thing EVERYONE must realize, especially newbies, is this: The protocol in its entirety by ITSELF is very powerful (the MMS and molecular silver are critical) but it is only HALF the equation. You may get somewhat better on the protocol alone but you will not be cured. The other 50% of the equation is that you MUST restrict your diet and cut out certain things that feed the pathogen and will keep you sick (sugar, yeast, dairy, starches, sugary fruit and veggies). Your diet should consist mainly of vegetables (lightly cooked or raw if possible), lean meats, brown rice products or equivalent, and healing spices like curry, ginger, garlic and cinnamon. You can cook with olive or coconut oil amd substitute almond butter for peanut butter, almond or coconut milk for regular milk. There are even buckwheat crackers, pancake mix, creamy hot cereal and frozen waffles you can use in place of the starchy sugary regular kind.

The reason for the change in diet is to make your body as alkaline as possible so the pathogen has no nutrients or food and starts dying off. Then your body must offload or purge the dead. You will experience some fatigue during this time that lets up quickly after a purge (bodily eliminations, rubbing skin with oils (I use a vaseline, coconut oil, tea tree oil mixture)) and hot baths (especially in Kleen Green or MMS). You can also lessen the panic, itchy crawlies and other symptoms by drinking fresh squeezed lemon water upon onset (takes about 20 minutes) and, as Peter mentioned, the red rooibus and pau d'arco teas. No need for sweetener; if you drink the first few times without, when you add stevia or xylitol it tastes off so you go back to plain. If you continue to feed the beast (pathogen), your return to full health WILL be delayed.

In the beginning months of your diet, be very very strict. If you give in to a craving (and you WILL have them!), don't be too hard on yourself. Just pick yourself up and work hard to get back on track as fast as you can. It's a constant battle but one we're all fighting together at different stages. Hmmm... Just had a thought. There are times when I am not satisfied with what I ate and want something more. We could call this fight THE HUNGRY GAMES. Haha!

Okay, back to serious. Once you're basically symptom free (no itchy crawlies, clearer thinking, more even emotions), you can start adding in other food items from the recipes section one at a time every couple weeks. If no symptoms, it's okay for you to have but don't go overboard and eat it every day. Everything in moderation. If you have symptoms, eliminate that food from your diet. This doesn't mean you will never be able to eat it; you just can't have it right NOW. Everyone is different. I can tolerate brown rice (rice, flour, pasta, etc) and others can't. Others eat foods that I can't or won't (listen to that inner voice). We're all here to help you figure out these things and guide you thru getting well. Sometimes you might even feel one of us sitting on your shoulder and you'll know you're not alone. I know I look over my shoulder and Peter is right there. :-D

I think I'll start a new topic called DIET TIPS FOR SUCCESS or THE WHYS AND HOWS OF THE HEALING DIET and explain the need to severely restrict your diet in the beginning, why you MUST do this and how to add foods back in starting at about 3 months. If you do NOT cut out all banned foods and food groups, if you eat even a LITTLE, you are feeding the beast and prolonging your recovery. You cannot eliminate it if you feed it. I hope everyone understands this. You are hurting yourself and/or loved ones who also have this by allowing them to eat starchy foods, sugary foods, fatty foods, prepackaged foods, most gluten and snacks and drink regular soda, milk and juices. Know the saying "a little bit won't hurt me?" Oh yes it will! It may hurt you greatly! It's your choice. Your future is in your hands. Your CURE is in your hands. Accept it or not.

Hang in there Derek and everyone else. You will have good days and bad days. As time goes by, the bad episodes become few and far between. The full moon, eating foods your body isn't yet ready for and overexertion will bring on symptoms. Drink lots of lemon water then and rest rest rest.

We're all in it to win it! Keep the faith and much love to all..... Monique
