11/19/2013 2:52:30 PM | Hi Derek, Thank you for posting. It reinforces once more the importance of the protocol and staying on it for the long haul. You can do it! You are in a place with lots of support (Believe me if I can, you can!!!!) Thank you Mel for calling me Sunday. You answered several questions, ie. how I wasn't eating when taking my MMS so most probably that is why I was feeling nauseous in the morning, and the other thing that made sense to me was the fungal possibility. I was just reading yesterday a short article about candida which I know I have had for a long time because of a lifetime of antibiotics for many different reasons, since I was a child. This probably weakened my immune system so that I was easily susceptible to getting this toxin overload. The article talked about Candida and two things which is its resilience and its adaptability. It can survive in a wide variety of pH levels, develop resistance to prescription antifungals, and create biofilms that protect it from treatment. Biofilms are a way in which Candida attempts to shield itself from both your immune system and treatments like antifungals and probiotics. The biofilm can be thought of as a protective matrix in which the Candida can live and multiply safely. The longer a Candida colony exists inside your gut, the stronger (and harder to break down) its biofilm will be. According to the article, a 2006 research study found that they are comprised of roughly 32% glucose. And where do they get this glucose from? Your diet. The excess sugars that you consume provide one of the key building blocks used by Candida to grow biofilms and protect itself. So, I hope it is ok to post a bit of the information I read about yesterday. I believe it is a co-infection of Morgellons and also relates to how tough Morgellons can be to heal from and how important sticking to the protocol, (diet, supplements and MMS) is for our goal of total wellness. Thank you everyone as always, blessings to all, Linda |
