12/8/2013 3:20:35 PM | Today marks the end of week 3 since dedicating to the protocol and diet. I am having a lot of up and down moments right now. For example, yesterday was a good day overall, still had symptoms, but they weren't very bothersome. Today, though, the symptoms of crawling, anxiety, and fatigue are a little worse than yesterday. Some days I feel ok, like I am turning the corner, then bam!...I feel bad the next day, like I got nowhere. I am trying to look for positives and small improvements to help ease my mind. There are some things that appear to be going in the right direction over the past 2 weeks. For one, all of my pharma medication use to help manage the symptoms is greatly diminishing. I have less pain and anxiety in this week than in week 1. I am not off all pharma meds yet, but am getting pretty close to it. That would be the first milestone. The second improvement has been my drop in resting pulse. Before getting sick, my resting pulse was about 52 BPM. Although not consistently there yet, I finally am getting some readings at 52 BPM over the past week. I have frequently monitored my pulse since getting sick again, and this is the first time where I have actually been able to get readings this low. Also, the stinging that would awaken me in week 1 has also diminished in intensity. Hence, my sleep is a little better and there is less need to take anything to allow me to sleep. My body temperature is still running low..usually 96.5-97 upon waking. I am still feeling that bad, dying-like feeling when I wake in the AM, even with CPAP. My guess is this is just from accumulation of toxins in the blood from the pathogen which may peak during the sleeping hours. When I recovered the first time from this, this was one of the first symptoms to completely disappear. I am hoping that it goes away soon because I almost prefer to never sleep. Also, since restarting the protocol, there has been an increase in the formation of lesions, blotches, etc. From what I gather, many who start the protocol have this happen. The lesions do heal rather fast though (1-7 days) and don't just stay there for weeks like they did prior to starting the protocol. I also just started trials of colostrum and monolaurin just for this month. I really feel that my immune system played a role in my re-infection and it has been a struggle to re-stabilize for the past 5 months. I am hoping to get a boost from these supplements to help turn the corner. I'm hoping to hear some good news from you all this week. It helps me stay focused on the positive thoughts of healing. Right now, I need to hear of your successes because it does give me some comfort during this rougher period. If you are getting better, please say so. |
