My name is Peter. Thank you for this post! I have been posting here for the past 17 months, and I was fascinated with what you have written here for a few reasons.
First, I find it significant that you were able to remain in remission for those two years without continuing the protocol. This is important because it reinforces for me that this disease is indeed a co-infection related to suppressed immune response. And that a healthy immune system will keep it in check. Your efforts to remain physically fit affirm this. Second, I find it relevant that you connect the possible environmental factors of mold and fungus with your return to symptoms. Mel has commented in depth about the nature of a toxic home environment with increased difficulty getting well. I think this is vital information.
Third, to my knowledge, Lyme testing can produce both false positive and false negative results. However, the western blot test is considered to be the most accurate. Your positve results further persuade me to accept this as a co-infection involving spirochete Lyme type bacteria or mycoplasma.
Finally, base line timetables for becoming cured will most certainly vary between different individuals based on many factors, especially environment and physical conditioning.
Thanks for sharing!, Peter
