Hey Chelsea,

In response to your question about alcohol, alcohol comes in different strengths. You always want to get the 91% alcohol if the store has it. If not, at least get the 70% and not a lower strength.

I have a spray bottle that I keep alcohol in and use it all of the time. I had Morgellons on my back at one time, which was quite something to deal with. I believe that spraying the back of my clothes with 91% alcohol has helped tremendously with my back.

To keep it from burning any sores if you have sprayed it in an area of your clothing, spray and then let the clothing dry some before you put it on.

If you are taking a shower, spray the area of clothing before you get in the shower and by the time you get out it will be dry and you can put it on without it burning any sores. Or spray it before you brush your teeth or whatever and then put it on.

If you have trouble with those gnats flying around you, if you hit them with a spray of the 91% alcohol, it knocks them down.

A word about the diatomaceous earth. If you use it, be careful never to breath it or let anyone around you breath it. While it is helpful for your stomach, it is very bad for your lungs if inhaled.

Kathy has some great tips on here concerning makeup. I didn't know you could get disposable mascara brushes.

My face makeup is in a pump and I put a little on a paper towel and put on my face. I brush my blush brush good on a paper towel before and after I use it. You can sharpen any pencils a little after you use them. WalMart and other such stores have throwaway eye shadow applicators but I don't even wear eye shadow anymore. Whole Foods sells a line of makeup called Mineral Fusion that is natural. I have tried their volumizing mascara and it is the only kind I use now. Their website is www.mineralfusion.com in case you would like to look at their products. You can brush the mascara brush over a paper towel before and after using until you can get some disposable brushes. It would be good to start those with a new tube of mascara.

Concerning your little boy's nose itching, I find that Vick's VapoRub helps my nose a lot. Just put a little on a cotton swab and swab it on the inside of his nose and see if it doesn't help him.

I found some exfoliating bathwash at WalGreens by St. Ives called Even and Bright Pink Lemon and Mandarin Orange Body Wash that seems to calm down the itching on my scalp some. It is thick and citrusy. I message some into my scalp and hair and just let it sit there for a while. It actually causes my scalp to peel a little in areas and helps it to feel better. It only costs a few dollars so it's not expensive to try. It does have real lemon and mandarin in it so you don't want to get it in your eyes or let it sit on your face.

I am sorry you are having to go through all of this. I sincerely hope you and your family get better soon.

Hi Maggie

I would like to welcome you and say "thanks" for posing your question.

Interesting that you should pose this question now. Reason is, I have had some serioius pain in my abdomen on two or three occasions during the last 2 months. There is really no telling how many of our organs may be affected by morgellons. As Mel just expressed to you, it certainly is not unusual for people to experience aches and pain in many different ways as we herx while getting well. However I would follow his suggestion that you see a doctor if it continues.

Please keep us posted on your progress. If you are working the protocol, I have no doubt you will get well!

Godspeed,
Peter
