Thank you for your soothing message. It's easy to feel isolated with this disease, especially as I've not heard of anyone else here in South Africa who've been diagnosed. Also, our currency is very weak and airport customs are corrupt, which means that trying to get hold of supplements is a logistical nightmare...
I logged on early this morning, and your words started my day with hope. I've re-read them several times today, as I'm busy sorting stuff for our move. We're getting rid of many/most of our possessions, simplifying our lives to fit into a much smaller country cottage.
I'm especially comforted by the reminder that our health is more important than anything. I've been reading through your back posts, and was relieved to learn about how dealt with finances by borrowing from a family member. We've felt so ashamed to turn to family for help, but now I see that this is unrealistic and unnecessary.
Thank you, Ellen, for your dedication to the forum. Every bit of light makes a big difference to my journey right now. I'm eternally inspired and grateful.
