NOTE: This is a discussion list reponse to Monica, do you have any helpful hints for getting the purging junk out of hair?

Janis,

The reality is this... The road to wellness is paved with die-off reactions. You must understand that you are dealing with actual life forms that will fight you to continue feeding off you. This how a parasitic life is... They don't want to die, but, for you to be healthy they must. In other words... you're fighting. Please remember that when you have your bad days. This isn't personal, this is nature. It's very easy to think negatively when you're in the throws of a die-off period, but, you MUST resist that. Any vibration, popping, twitching, purging means JANIS IS WINNING! Even if she feels like crap, requires more sleep, and is crying in a given moment...it's because she's winning.

It's important that you understand that there's many layers to this condition, thus, the protocol is 18 months. When you get through one layer, and then start feeling good, another layer is now going to start fighting you for its existence. Remember: You don't want to die, and neither do they. But, you choose you when you work the protocol, you choose life when you maintain your diet, and yes...go through the herxing, and purging.

Life isn't about ease all the time. Life is about living each moment, and getting to the next. By the very fact that you, like the rest of us, came into the world, means you can and have already managed a lot of uncomfortable moments in life--you're stronger than you think you are. Moments of crying, pain and doubt make you human, but, seeing beyond those moments and working your way through... makes you divine.

For the record, my scalp still purges, microfibers and fungal hairs. And, it's not always confortable, but, it's significantly better. 'Better out than in' is not just a saying...it's an attitude. Janis... you'll get there. I'm living proof of that.

In terms of soap, please go reread my post in 'Living with this for a few months.' I talk extensively about what soaps, essential oils, and creams to use. ;-)

Many Blessings, Much Light.

Monica
