After the voters in California shot down the recent food lableing law, I was not surprised to see on the news recently that there was horsemeat found in the beef served at a popular restaurant. People did not realize that these types of things would be the result. What a lack of vision and blind trust where it does not belong...in the regulation of knowing what is really in our food!
Of the 24 major crop production sectors in this country, only 8 remain free from Monsanto modified crops. If we lose these remining 8 sectors, you can say goodbye to 'truely organic' vegetables.
Get involved here if you can. Write a letter to your Federal legislator. They do actually have staff read them. It is simply a numbers game. If enough people threaten (in writing) to cast their vote to another candidate, they WILL respond!
