Mr. Common Sense 2/12/2010 9:18:09 AM | We won a Landmark Case yesterday in Court, in the 5th Judicial Circuit Court, of the State of Florida. Dragonfly got her Social Security Benefits retroactive up to 6 months after her initial diagnosis in 2006 and MEDICARE retroactive 6 months from the loss of her insurance. I submitted a Letter from Ginny Waite Brown to the CDC, all Documentation, Deborah Auschullers Collembola study and even Joes research. THANK YOU JOE, BECAUSE JOE DOESN'T WRITE SLOW, HE MAKES SENSE. It took 4 years of work and the judge rendered the verdict in 8 minutes and 50 seconds. He said Morgellons three times. People have got to save every medical record and any information calling them delusional, take photographs and save them. The Judge just happened to be here on assignment from Tulsa and her file was 5 inches thick. WE WON..WE WON. Our Attorney knew more about this disease than any attorney and his brief was impeccable, sensible, no conspiracy theories. HE WAS A SAINT sent from God. After our win I stood in the parking lot and cried for a half an hour and just hugged the Attorney. It appears he asked to take the case because Dragonfly was a local personality and he had seen her during her well years on TV. His comment, when I asked him what he thought was, 'The way these people have been treated is horrific and it is appalling.' We have a conference with a nationwide law firm next Tuesday and I will be able to ascertain how many other cases they can take on. Now that we have set a Florida precedence on a non existent (according to many Doctors) disease, we just trumped the CDC. We had photos, Raman graphs, disks documenting her progressive deterioration, the Body Bugs Films (thank you Patrick Fraser) and every lab and also doctors notes where she was called DOP. Dragonfly was exceptional, honest, and exhausted, a win for one, we hope will be a win for all. Sincerely, Trisha |

KATHY 11/7/2011 2:31:09 PM | Gina,no one in my family has been infected.Remember we don't know how long we had the disease before we became very symptomatic.Also remember many diseases and illness that are contagious do not manifest symptoms until after the contagiousness has already been there ie common cold,flu,etc.There are still a lot of things we don't know for sure. |
GINA 11/2/2011 10:28:20 AM | IM A LITTLE LATE WITH THIS ENTRY. I HAVE BEEN IN HEALTHCARE FOR 20 YEARS CURRENTLY RN IN FLORIDA. ALONG THE WAY I BECAME BOMBARDED WITH IRRITATIONS, BITING, AND STINGING SENSATIONS TO MY WHOLE BODY. AFTER TREATING MYSELF MULTIPLE TIMES FOR SCABIES THEN TAKING IVERMECTIN FREQUENTLY THEN TRYING MANY OTHER THINGS WITHOUT SOLVING MY OWN PROBLEM. I BEGAN TO QUESTION WHAT I WAS DEALING WITH. I HAD PREVIOUSLY TREATED MANY PATIENTS FOR RASHES SOME UNEXPLAINED AND ONE WHO TOLD ME SHE HAD MORGELLONS SO I LOOKED THAT UP. I BOUGHT A MICROSCOPE AND BEGAN TO LOOK AT EVERYTHING. CALLED MY COMPANIES AND TOLD THEM I HAD TO STOP WORK BECAUSE MY RASH WAS FULL BODY INCLUDING FACE AND HEAD. TOO DIFFICULT TO DISGUISE ANYMORE AND AFRAID OF BEING CONTAGIOUS TO SO MANY OTHERS. MY COMPANY TOLD IT SOUNDED AS IF THEY COULD HAVE IT FALL BACK ON WORKERS COMP SOMETHING I HAD NOT THOUGHT OF. THE REALLY HORRIBLE PROCESS BEGAN AND LASTED 2 MONTHS OF DOCTORS WHEN FINALLY THE ULTIMATE INSULT CAME, DX: DELUSIONAL PARASITOSIS, AS I WAS ACCOMPANIED TO MY APPOINTMENT BY A WORKERS COMP NURSE CASE MANAGER (my third) SHE QUICKLY ASKED THE INFECTIOUS DISEASE MD FOR PAPERWORK STATING I COULD BE RELEASED TO GO TO WORK CLEARED OF ANY CONTAGIOUS ASPECT. SHE SEEMED THRILLED WITH HER VICTORY (SHE ALSO CARRIED A FULL BODY RASH BUT HAD BEEN DEFINED AS SOMETHING ELSE). WHERE HAS THE REASONABILITY GONE? I WAS TREATED LIKE AN INMATE.
