I haven't posted before but have been wanting to for some time. I received a call from Mel the other day, and he told me about the poetry contest proposed by Jimmy. I just couldn't resist! Limericks are so much fun to write, and I would encourage everyone to sit down and try it! So, here goes:
Are there fibers inside your inside?
Fuzzy lint balls hitchhiking a ride?
Get lots of rest,
Clean up your nest,
In time, you'll forget that you cried.
Are there strange lumps and bumps on your skin?
Fine hairs, specks, and grit from within?
Take all the pills,
It will cure all your ills.
If you commit to yourself, you will win.
Are there feathery things tickling your nose?
You'll be oiling your skin till it glows.
Bathing and sweating,
Praying and fretting,
Through all this your faith really grows.
Are there red spots all over your skin?
Little scratches that come from within?
Just follow the plan,
Listen to Mel, he's the man!
Very soon you'll be wearing a grin.
Do creepy crawlies keep you up at night?
Does your hair do give you a fright ?
Eat lots of green,
Keep your diet clean,
"Slow and steady will win the fight."
Does fear run the show in the beginning?
So much to do, your head is spinning?
Go outside, find a tree
Stand and ground--just BE.
Relax, breathe, and trust --til health
is winning.
