Hey,
I'm 29 and male, and am also new to the website. This disease has really changed my life.
The quotation: "For those to whom He loves, He afflicts.." is quite beautiful and touching. I've noticed from listening to the conference calls that not only are the people speaking quite down to earth. They seem to be extraordinarily loving and compassionate human beings.
I believe we've been given this disease to change where we direct our eyesight. Our vision has been expanded. It really is a gift.
That said, I've been battling depression this week. I'm okay, it's just so much is changing for me. I had to give up one of my part-time jobs and then my acting class. (I'm hoping I can get back into my acting class soon, it was really good for my soul.)
Anyway, you're not alone.
Your posts have reminded me how important it is to post. I'll try to do so more, as well.
