Twiggy

I know the diet can be life changing, let me tell you. I never ate too healthy before this even though I was a vegitarian. Then I went from being a veg head to restricting myself with eating disorders. I was very skinny and very unhealthy. Yeah, you got that right. My friends called me Twiggy after twiggy herself since I WAS so skinny. Now, eating three times a day, very big well rounded meals has made me gain a massive amount of weight. I am no longer a twig. At all.
As for what you like and don't like, you really should refer to and look over all of the recipes. Find what you like and don't like and don't be afraid to try new things. I know I never ate stir fries or cooked vegetables until I actually tried it and put my own spin on it. You will find things you like and what works for you eventually, just don't be afraid to write something off so quickly! And make sure you keep your body alkaline, no sugar.
The thing with chicken is that it can make your body acetic, if you over do it, in my opinion. I make sure I eat everything alkaline, but I think others need chicken to help keep their body functioning and well packed with protein in order to heal. So I would do chicken twice or three times a week at most if I were you. (not sure if I mentioned this but I'm a raw vegan now, so I have really learned to love my vegetables and be creative.)
It's important to have raw veggies with every meal, so if you do over indulge in chicken make sure you have a decent side of raw veggies!
If I don't eat raw for a meal and end up with cooked vegetables, I make sure I still have raw veggies on the side!
I stay away from chocolate, even if it's sweetened with just stevia. You can probably introduce dark chocolate waaay later on in your healing. The same goes for the granny smith apples.
If you get sick of scrambled eggs, there are several ways you can include eggs in your diet. Omelets (which you can put virtually ANYTHING in to your liking. Mmm.. veggies, nut butters, avocados, shrimp). Poached eggs, you can scramble em up and put them in muffin cups with chia seeds, flax, spinach, fennel, salt pepper, spices, and make little egg bites to warm up in the morning with all sorts of flavors.
There are ways to trick yourself into replacing the starchy veggies. I found that I can't tolerate any sort of squash but others can early on. You can grate/cut up spaghetti squash and make it into fake spaghetti and season it to taste like some kind of buttery italian mixture spaghetti when you cook it! Olive oil, spices, garlic. Mmm so good. You can also make fried cauliflower rice, just put the cauliflower in the food processor and pulse a few times till it looks like rice. Then you can cook it into almost any flavor you want. Choose coconut or olive oil, add some chopped peppers, onions, chicken (if you want), broccoli, scrambled eggs spices, and my favorite.... add coconut aminos for a soy sauce substitute! You can find that in our recipes section as well. Don't forget, you can make kale chips, rutabaga french fries (I have my own recipe for that), turnips taste and look starchy but they're not, and you can do so much with them!
I have found a lot of my own recipes and favorite mixtures since my gift is in the kitchen. I do a lot of research for my own grand meals. I do have a day to day meal plan usually. You should read a bit of my posts on New Girly Here because I believe in the very beginning justin did map out a good breakfast, lunch, and dinner plan.
Others can probably give you other advice, this is just mine. And to be honest, I am REALLY strict with my diet. Others who are well may have no been as strict, but I really don't like taking chances on my healing process and I have the will power of steel in order to heal from this. I want to heal in every way possible as much as I can, and this is what I feel works for me.
Don't go crazy and torture yourself. I believe if your body is craving something on our diet, there is a way to satisfy it on our diet. You just have to be creative and know what's helpful and not.
Hope this helps! Keep healing girl, you've got this.
