Interesting and brilliant observation. Most people have no idea how important strong bones are to our health.
Bones provide structural integrity to the body, but that is only the beginning of the story. The same mechanisms that allow the bone remodeling process you mentioned are used to harvest minerals from bones as needed to maintain blood pH, blood pressure, heart rate, and many other aspects of metabolism.
This is what makes anti resorption drugs so dangerous. They sabotage one of the most important life sustaining feedback mechanisms in the body.

Are bones, like biofilm communities, safe havens for Morgellons? Who knows? It is possible, but not likely in my opinion. Even so, as you so wisely cautioned, it is a really good idea for everyone to maintain strong and healthy bones.
