12/15/2012 4:34:56 AM | Happy Holidays to everyone! This is for John, When I first got sick, we had our house tested by a Certified Hygienist. All was negative. I kept insisting mold, as our chimneys were leaking.I bought Ritchie Shoemakers book 'Surviving Mold'. Since we purchased a Home Depot 'at home' kit, and tested ourselves, the one chimney had 5 kinds of mold. I also believe the mold is in our Redwood garden window, it is rotting. This week, we paid a company to gut the 3rd floor/attic. The mold seems confined to the chimney areas. It was a major purging of getting rid of all of our Attic treasures. It's only stuff. My husband purchased Sporacidin spray as recommended by Dr. Shoemaker. My LLMD has ordered all the tests that he says one should have when living in a water damamged building. I am waiting on some tests still. My C3, and C4 numbers were low. That is indicative of a parasite or fungal issue. I am waiting on the other tests. They will indicate if my body is able to process mold.We purchased two Aren air purifiers with the appropriate filters. One thing I did read in Dr. Shoemakers book was, if the Air Quality tester tells you that the inside mold spore count, and the outside count were the same...RUN! That should never be. That was our result here. That test was run last November, when all the windows were closed. So, all the old plaster and lathes have been removed up in the Attic. They sealed our leaking chimneys, and my husband bought the face masks, and Protective suits to wear. He is going to spray the mold himself. He is even going to take up the old floof boards and clean all that out. I'll bet he'll find alot of stuff. Our house was built in the 1890's. It was built as the Parsonage to a church. The church burnt down in the 40's. Mel laughed and said that was our first red flag! We have been restoring this old Victorian for 18 years, room by room. We do most of the work ourselves. I really don't want to leave here, as it is so beautiful inside and out. I do realize that staying might not be an option. My daughter is having her wedding here outside next September. I hope to be able to stay until then. In the meantime, we are looking into an R.V. to live in in our driveway. I continue with the Protocol, and even have my dog Poky on some of the stuff.Someday, my husband will understand . Right now, he is totally tuned out of my Morgellons world. He is exhibting symptoms too. He tested CDC positive for Lyme disease. I had indicative bands plus a slightly elevated titre for babesia. We both had treatment. One thing that has never left though, are the itching and crawling sensations and for me, the weightloss, muscle pain, vision problems, dental issues, GI problems etc. I am sorry this post is so long, but I wanted others to check the environment in which they live.
