11/30/2012 5:00:12 AM | Finding more mold in our house. We bought a really old abandoned house back in 1993. It is on 2 acres of land. We bought it as is. We had to get a new roof, chimneys, and well before we could get a mortgage. It was risky, but we hated living in a sub division.Even though we had a brand new house.Well now it's 20 years later. When I think back, I cleaned up so much mold, as the roof had been leaking for so long. I don't know when it started, but the flashing on our chimneys failed. Both are leaking. I really believe that this has something to do with our illness here.My husband wants me to move out while he takes care of remediation.I don't want to go live at my daughters for obvious reasons. She is not afraid. She welcomes me.Yesterday, I took a day off from this lame life I've been living. Went and decorated my Daughters Townhouse for the holidays.Spent most of the day out in my hubbys shop, and at the Townhouse.Aside from being tired. I felt much better. She WILL win the decorating contest this year. It is so Colonial Williamsburg. Pineapples, Magnolia leaves , frut, garland. I even made her a wreath that was featured in Martha Stewart Living this month.Got home , and man did the crawlies and aching start.I need help deciding what to do. I have no visible fibers, but the last thing I would want is to make my daughter and her fiance sick. Then there is the worry of my little dog......I think she's sick too. Sheds like anything and has had some ear problems. Also, leaving my husband in this house with the mold....I am so overwwhelmed in my thoughts! Lisa |
