I appreciate your honesty, Deborah. I understand how your healing response may be different from others. I also feel that each posting about the symptoms gives all of us more knowledge, so thank you!
The change of emotions for me is also new not necessarily a stress response but a harder to explain personality/mood shift. It feels like it comes out of nowhere, somedays better than others regardless of the actual events of the day.
I do keep a daily diary so I don't feel like I have to remember everything.
And Lisa, I looked at your original post about coats. I found a coat mostly nylon, but with a lining that is warm and I can wash it - usually about every two weeks. Each day that I wear it, I spray with a light mist of Kleen Green to be safe. I also spray the inside of my shoes and boots before I put them on.
Lastly, I try to read this quote each night. 'We should ready ourselves to meet trials: the small and big ones of each day. They are the trials which we cannot help but encounter from one day to the next. It is a matter of realizing that God permits them not to discourage us, but so we can grow spiritually as we overcome them. And at the same time we must pray. Prayer is necessary because there are two temptations to which we are vulnerable in these moments. One is to think we can go it alone. The other is the opposite, that is the fear of not making it, as if the trial were greater than our strength.'
Blessings to all,
Ellen |
