Good question.
The newer protocol reflects the evolution of the protocol which uses natural alternatives whenever possible since so many people find it difficult to find a physician who will take them seriously and prescribe appropriate meds. Furthermore, as some of the underlying coinfections have been identified, it became obvious that while bactrim certainly worked for me, it may not be the best choice for everyone.
Today some people are using antibiotics and many are using the extension kit products that were developed by Logos.
