Jul 9/13/2014 10:35:51 PM | Hi all, I'm interested in the pre-existing conditions that may allow Morgellons to take hold. Some that I have read can be an exacerbating issue or cause include: Lupus, food allergies, Lyme Disease & it's coinfections, Cancer, AIDS (with or without HIV), trauma effecting brain/CNS, MRSA, mold exposure, pesticide exposure, Bartonella, severe emotional trauma... I'm sure there are many more, basically anything that challenges the immune system or detoxification system. I think it's interesting that if you research holistic treatments for any of the above you'll see a lot of the elements of Mel's protocol showing up repeatedly for these seemingly drastically different conditions. But they all need a lot of the same things despite the different presentations. If you can please list any diagnosis that you have that you feel has increased your susceptibility to Morgellons, that would be great for research. I'm moving in & out of apartments a lot lately so I may not check in for a minute, but I will be back :) Thank you!! |

Mel has included the following words at the bottom of his protocol page. “Modern science has developed some amazing tools that can peer into the human body and deliver a wealth of valuable information. While there is still no definitive "Morgellons Test", there are testing options that can help your doctor assess where you are now and monitor your progress as Shannon did for me.” Mel has placed a number of these markers for you to peruse at the bottom of that page. Remember, however, that with Morgellons, the nature of these pathogens and co-infections may never be fully understood. These parasites can be difficult to identify and to confirm for any given individual. However, blood tests may be useful in some cases for measuring certain markers. Mel has placed a number of these markers at the bottom of that page. Remember to also use the search engine. It will provide threads where there may be answers for you to consider. Hope this helps.
