I will defer this question to the manufacturer of Kleen Green, but my concern was and is that enzymes are proteins and proteins are denatured at high temperatures. This means that their three dimensional structure is compromised which in turn renders them ineffective. However, different proteins have different properties in terms of their tolerance to heat, so perhaps the product is stable in hot water.
As I said, this is a question for the folks at Kleen Green.
