I have worked full-time for the entire 3 years I've had this disease. I teach art to almost 700 elementary kids a week. Honestly, I don't think I could have done it without my faith in God, first of all. I had my own bathroom in my room at school and could duck in there or in my closet and spray myself down occasionally, if needed. The mustard baths I do twice a day helped me make it through the school day. As far as all the time management involved with working and having to treat the M, I had to just do as much as I could and let things go that I couldn't get to. I suggest trimming everything down. Cut out anything you're involved in or are doing that consumes extra time. Narrow it down to the things that you have to do or things that help make you happy or calm. Listen to worship music. Sleep, sleep, sleep! That's my biggest hurdle right now. My son is 15 an in high school band. He's having out-of-town games where I have to pick him up at 2:15 a.m. Saturday morning and back at school later that morning for other band stuff, along with the late night rehearsals during the week. With my husband working out of state, I'm his only transportation. I get up at 5:10 every morning and don't get to bed until after 10. I have honestly had no choice but to work, due to our financial situation. If I could drop to part time or quit, I would. We're paying college payments for our daughter right now, though. If you would like to talk more, even to just know someone else understands where you are, ask Mel for my email address. I'll be praying for you.
