| Hi Mel, I have in the past had a prescription for Limbrel. It does seem to help with osteoarthritis. What function does it serve in the battle against Morgellon's? I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere else related to Morgellon's. beazy

| (NSAID) stands for non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug, and describes a class of non-narcotic drugs that inhibit the activity of the inflammatory enzyme cyclooxygenase (COX). COX enzymes catalyze the formation of prostaglandins and thromboxane, key messenger molecules in the inflammatory response and in blood clotting.
Like all drugs, NSAIDS can have some nasty side effects.. especially with prolonged use... most notably gastrointestinal ulceration/bleeding, compromised renal(kidney)function and increased cardiovascular risk.
Since the natural compounds in Limbrel reportedly work in much the same way (inhibiting COX enzymes)as NSAIDS, one would expect some of the same side effects and warnings. Take with caution.
