Hi Pam,

Your assessment is right on the money.

I just finished a lengthy post on Mr. CS's site about the testing which I will repost here, but before I do, let me address your question on parasitic meds.

Synthetic chemical anti-helminthics are typically very specific in their application, both in terms of organisms targeted and method of use (this product specificity is a byproduct of the necessity in the pharmaceutical realm to have protected licensing rights).

They are effective if used as directed, but like many drugs, may produce significant collateral damage (as evidenced by their long list of known side effects) to the liver and other internal organs.

Since Morgellons patients are already dealing with compromised detoxification systems, it makes more sense to go with natural antiparasitics that have less side effects and are effective across a much broader spectrum of organisms.

For those who feel they need the additional support, Logos does have an excellent broad spectrum formula called Parabolish. To learn more, click here

Back to the testing post from Mr. CS's blog...

The lab tests that Pamela has already made available on her site (along with the professional assistance of a committed Morgellons- friendly practitioner to interpret the results and direct you to specific nutrients needed if any above and beyond the protocol) are an excellent tool for getting a "bird's eye" view of metabolic health and the overall condition of your bioterrain.

That said, in my view, the testing will become more valuable the further along you are in your recovery. As Mr. CS already pointed out, the individual test results of a typical Morgellons patient are likely going to be very similar to Pam's (at least until the basic integrity of her bioterrain is recovered), and the wisest path to recovery will not change much (if any) based upon the testing until that stage is reached.

Until metabolic integrity, cellular energy systems and detoxification pathways are restored (the entire focus of both my Burgstiner Wellness Protocol and the Poor Man's Protocol), even identification of specific pathogens has limited benefit because Western medicine's approach of "killing off the enemies" results in an endless cycle of proliferation and dieoff and unfortunately, an increasingly toxic battlefield.

When all is said and done, I believe that Mel Friedman's Protocol will be validated because it deals with both the restoration of the bioterrain and interruption of the vicious cycles so familiar to those who are living this nightmare.

In summary, the testing offers a valuable tool for those who can afford it and who are already in recovery mode. If you have a budgetary choice between testing and supporting your bioterrain, go with supporting your body and let the offending pathogens fall where they may.

If you can afford the testing, BY ALL MEANS DO IT and share your results with Pam for the benefit of those who can't. The more collective data that is gathered, the more understanding we will have.

Like the ancient Hebrew prophet said, "My people perish for lack of knowledge". (Hosea 4:6)
