First of all, reaching out to those who care is never a bad thing. And depression IS rough.
You will no doubt get many different views on your post and I can speak only to my own experience with antidepressants. Years ago I had two children and couldn't get out of bed to take care of them, and for a short time, taking these meds saved me.
If you take something that will lift your depression and make it easier to function better and deal with all the different and frequently exhausting aspects of the protocol, then do what you feel is best for you. Many people on this site have gotten better with Bactrim, and that is a drug. I can't take it due to an allergy, but I wouldn't have hesitated. Do not doubt yourself, Nancy.
