Your fiance believes now and that is going to be so helpful with the cleaning but moreover, the moral support. You may need some counseling services for your sugar addiction. I'm sure it is your last frontier though. Learning to self soothe without a substance. And to be good to yourself and not self destructive. Impulse control. Meditation and prayer are essential to calm down our internal state. You may likely run a little on the anxious and depressed side. These substances distract from those uncomfortable states but then they become a problem themselves. So think about some counseling if you need it. there are also good self help books out there too on dependencies. However, you've done this already with several different substances. Nicotine is supposed to be harder to quit than heroine. You did it on our own! So you've got what it takes. Thinking positive and trusting in God who actually spoke to your fiancé. That's so awesome by the way! And your sugars are not white refined ones so you are on the right path. Just try to stick with stevia in rooibus chai tea with coconut cream sip that while around the kids eating their sweets. As you kill off your candida the sugar cravings will get less. Same thing happens to those who on low carb diets. And also the crawling will get less. Sugar really feeds it. So whatever you did to get off the other things, do the same now. Don't have it around as much as possible. Use your support system to phone a friend, distract yourself, use your self talk about why not to give in and really praise yourself for your successes, meditate and pray... If you eat something sweet, don't give up. Forgive yourself, try to figure out what happened that lead to that, and then avoid that in the future. You're a fighter. You are going to win this battle. Peace and strength Shari! |
